Then there must be 27 different types of reaper death seal , then this mean there are 27 god of deaths and they must have different names then shinigami must be one of them who posses the power of talking soul of the user and the targeted enemy , both souls must be taken . and if you see properly there are also mask of Yogacara , Yama and Mrtyu-mara , Yogacara is also god of death he is a demon who takes life and tell the time period of any human , and yama is the god who is god of underworld which means god of the other side "after-life" and if i am right then nagato breaks the seal of yama to bring all peoples of leaf back to life then edo -tentie is also a justu who breaks yama seal to bring back user to life , any way just a theory

then this scroll must contain all 27 god names and where the keep there souls , which means Yogacara , Yama , Mrtyu-mara must be there to because they are also god of deaths just like shinigami

i am really excited to see all 27 gods , but any way 2 masks are broken which means there are 25 reaming i want to see them guys

Well in Japanese folklore, there are multiple Shinigamis so this could be possible, or they could represent the 27 major gods of Shintoism.

well i also think in that way only , in japense It is a demon that makes humans want to die, and it is said that upon being possessed by it, in a shock, one would suddenly want to commit suicide, so it is sometimes explained as a "shinigami , shinigami is a process and the 27 god knows how to make this process happen
