How many ants are needed to lift one average male?

-The average ant can lift its own body weight.

-The average ant weighs approximately .

-The average human weighs .

number of ants=(human body weight)/(20 x ant weight)= 62/(20x3x10[SUP]-7[/SUP])= 10,333,333 ants.

The problem is, you couldn't fit that many ants under a person. So, ants couldn't lift a person, even if you had enough to handle the scheer weight.

I know how to graph quadratic equations on my calculator but is there a way to tell the vertex and y intercept of the parabola without having to work out the problem? Can the calculator tell me the vertex and y intercept? I have a TI 83.

To find the vertex, you just need to "2nd" then "TRACE", and then calculate the maximum or minimum of the parabola, depending on whether it faces up or down. You can also use the calculate menu to find the y intercept by choosing "value" and setting x at 0. This video might help because you can see what buttons he's pressing:

No, I haven't. I hear it's good though.

I have a test over quadratics on Monday and I have to pass it. Any tips how to make things easier for me?

Not really... quadratic equations aren't really that complex, so there aren't really any tricks to solve them. You could always put a on your calculator. However, I don't know if that's against the rules for your particular exam. I don't recommend cheating.

I already watched a video to add in the program. It works but most of our problems we have to use radicals and not a decimal and the calculator wont set it up as a radical, at least not to my knowledge.

You can always convert the radicals over to decimals, plug them into the program, and then convert them back.

You're awesome, you got so much mojo it's off the charts, rock on.

Who doesn't love this Panda?

Shucks, you're sweet.

As to your question, I don't think ROSH2 likes me very much. I trolled him really hard the other day.

How do I convert a decimal to a radical?

It's a little difficult to explain by typing. Learn how here:

I don't know the exact measurement, but it was long enough that if I were to stretch me bangs down, I could touch them to the center of my eye.

Haha nice. When I was 12, my hair was about 12 inches all around. Do you have straight or curly hair?

What's the most sophisticated way you've seen or heard of someone cheating on a test?

Would you be willing to have a philosophical discussion about cereal with me?

Nota Bene: I'm really tired. I don't even know why I'm here. :|

Hmm... I've seen things online where somebody printed a wrapper to go around a Coke bottle that had all the answers in small print where the ingredients go. I also saw this online:

Someone painted amino acid structures on their fingernails...

Sure, why not?
