[Discussion] Does anyone else hate Legend of Korra?

Is it just me or do you guys feel like it made a mockery out of the Avatar series?

I loved the last airbender and I recently started watching legend of korra, I can safely say it is the worst anime ever made.

Why does it have it's own section when there are anime's with a larger fanbase and better reviews?


Just curious. It seemed more of a parody than an actual anime sequel.

Nah.. I mean, they could of done a better job but I loved it. LoK was way more focused on pairings so that was sorta bleh. And Korra is definitely not better than ATLA.

Off the top of my head, the character development is awful. There's no room for them to grow (personality wise)


EDIT: When I say awful, I meant the development is happening to fast.

Another reason: The protagonist (Korra) isn't likeable at all. She's selfish, she's pretty much the Sakura of Avatar

there are too many Korra haters. Korra is nearly a fully-realized Avatar now that she can Air Bend. It's not at all a mockery and PLUS we've only seen 12 episodes. do you know how much potential there is to make it get better and better? of course, it could be that they do nothing more with it, but if they do, i look forward to it

And plus there's only been 12 episodes. tell me, is 12 episodes at all enough to decide whether an show is epic or not? no, it isn't. you really need to give a show a good chance before you say it sucks. i thought One Piece SUCKED BALLS but i kept on watching it and after i saw over 400 eps, i STARTED to enjoy it.

Everyone is different in what they like, we all have different tastes, and Bashing something you don't like doesn not accomplish Shit!

I don't really see the point in continuing though, as Korea achieves Air Bending at the end.

That's a fair point but not a good excuse for ruining a show with a lot of potential

well whatever, you know, i like it. if you didn't, you are more than entitled to your opinion. Personally, I like it. If you didn't, that's up to you and i don't hold it against you. we all like different things and we can't all like the exact same things everythime

LoK and ATLA are not anime... anime are Japanese.

OT: I kind of agree with you because the series is so rushed. I liked the little filler episodes in ATLA but they don't have those anymore because LoK is just a miniseries.

Also, Have you read The Search Part ? The comics are canon, you know. I can't wait to find out what happened to Ursa!
