I wouldn't call myselkf a Hiruzen fan, but Hiruzen reminds me of Itachi, so he gets some affection.

By that, I mean he has relatively (Nagato, Deidara, Kisame, etc.) little destructive power but is worlds more skilled than normal Kages.
