regardless of what seal is used to seal them, they're sealed internally. those rods are chakra receivers that helped nagato control the gedo statue, as he did with his paths of pain. by your logic madara would also be a jin. because he controlled kurama with his eyes. makes no sense.

Wow. The ten tails hasn't existed since the So6P separated it into all the tailed beats. It's impossible for Nagato to have been the 10 tails jinchuriki. Was nagato ever referred to or did he ever refer to himself as being a jinchuriki?
The 10 tails could only have come into existence when the gedo statue had all the tailed beasts chakra.
Nagato was definitely not the 10 tails jinchuriki.
