The way Bee reacted to Minato's FTG. BEfore I go into this, I just want to make this clear.
I'm not a fanboy, but Minato is awesome.
I think Bee is cool too.
Bee can 7 times out of 10 beat Minato with Low-Mid diff.
However, Minato will always be faster than Bee.
Now, what I want to talk about here is Bee's reaction to Minato's FTG, and how pretty much impossible it was, and why I think it was a very strong plot move.
Here, we can see the distance between A/B and Minato during their confrontation.
That's pretty far apart. Raikage and Minato were the only 2 people there with speed of their league. There shouldn't have been anybody else there, really.
Now when Raikage makes a move to blitz Minato, it failed. Minato had already had a Kunai stuck to a nearby tree that he flashed to.
Here, we can see A immediantly destroying any distance they had between each other. There was no dodging that unless you had god-tier speed, which Minato had with his FTG. So he was able to flash dodge it.
Now, if it took A about 0.5 seconds (I think a full second would be too long) to close that distance, all the way to Minato from what you saw in that first picture, how much further to you think he was able to go in the say 0.2 or 0.3 seconds it took Minato to flash back to him? Probably close to double the distance.
Now, you see B tossing out a tentacle to push A out of the way. I never liked this scene, or that particular save. I think it was the worst save in Part 2, and that A should've saved himself. And here's why I don't like it.
1) Bee was nowhere near A or Minato's speed. They were top teir.
2) Bee was way too far away to have his tentacle stretch out THAT fast. I mean, I'll give him some credit. He's fast. But he's not A/Minato type of fast.
3) Basically, what they're saying is that B's tentacle is faster than FTG. FTG is an instant move, the only pausing inbetween it is the users pausing to plan their next move.
4) Lastly, it was just terribly posed. I mean come on, do you understand what happened in this scene? A tried to speed blitz Minato, Minato FTG'd out of his way, and B released his tentacle fast enough to intercept it.
And that's all I really have to say. And I know Naruto is just a manga, and you're going to say 'anything is possible' or 'physics don't exist in Naruto', but they do. 99% of the time, there's a working mechanic to everything, and a counter to beat it. B's tentacle sohuldn't have been a counter to Minato's FTG. It was just wrong, but of course A had to survive for plot reasons.. so what do you think? Do you agree with my saying on why B's tentacle save was way too out of place, or do you agree with it and think it was reasonable?
