Now this thread is something that has been debated on the base for quite a while and has raised a LOT of controversy over time. It has erupted into MASSIVE flame wars, given birth to new trolls and wankers, AND has littered the base with bias and content. . . Well now Daisy wishes to throw her crown into the ring! The Genius of the Villiage Hidden in the Leaves! Itachi Uchha was once a proud shinobi of the Leafe Villiage until one day, he was assigned a mission to extinguish his entire clan by the order of Danzo Shimura (that bastard. . .) in order to prevent an uprising of the Uchiha. As a consequence to this action, Itachi was forced to flee the villiage and join the criminal organization, Akatsuki. Ludicrous Genjutsu
Itachi's Genjutsu capabilities are famous throughout the ninja world. With just the pointing of an index finger or the quick weaving of a single handsign, a Genjutsu can be cast upon his opponent without them ever being aware of it. Itachi's speciality is utilizing this form of weak yet sly Genjutsu to trap unaware opponents in his illusionary antics before the battle even begins, giving him an assured first point advantage if a fight happens to break out, AND giving him the edge to try and slide his weaker Genjutsu into a much more potent Genjutsu.
Multi Shuriken Jutsu.
Shadoww Clone Jutsu
Shadow Clone Explosion Jutsu
This jutsu is one where Itachi uses the Shadow clone Jutsu, riggs it with chakra explosives, instantaniously swaps places wuth it using substitution Jutsu, and detonates the clone whenever the opponent gets near it or gains the upper hand when combating it.
Crow Clone Jutsu
Another speciality of Itachi's. Itachi often uses several clones that dissipate into several black crows upon heavy or mortal impact. This haze of crows often allows itachi the chance to cast a weak Genjutsu upon the slightly confused opponent.

Fire Style: Phoenix Flower Crimson Shuriken Jutsu
This form of the Phoenix Flower Jutsu is performed by using the normal Phoenix Flower and using it in cojunction with the Multi Shuriken Jutsu, which gives it more aerodayamic tragectory, superior targeting capabilities, augmented flight and fall speed, and MUCH more penetrating and cutting power with the stil standing 2nd degree burning.

Mangekyou Sharingan
With this, it allows for movement tracking and the use of 3 VERY powerful Jutsu.
Tsukuyomi
The ultimate occular genjutsu available only to those who have the Mangekyou Sharingan AND Itachi's most powerful Genjutsu. If direct eye contact is made, the opponent will be sent to the Nightmare Realm, where they will be continuously tortured until the genjutsu is released. Only a perfect Jinchuuriki or a Sharingan user can break this genjutsu.
Itachi has such proficiency with this Genjutsu that he is literally able to alter the flow of time, fold the fabric of space, and EVEN control physical mass within his Nightmare Realm. He LITERALLY alters reality itself. In an instant, he can send you to the nightmare realm for a fraction of a second, but be it preceived by the opponent as a time of ath the most seen so far 72 hours! Even though merely an illusion, the pain is precieved as reality and can have damaging effects on the mind AND the body. So much that even a high-tier Jounin like Kakashi Hatake was put in the infermory for as long as an entire week.
Amaterasu
This ability ignites anything in Itachi's gaze in the Black Flames of Hell. They burn even fire itself. The flames of Amaterasu burn anything and everything for seven days and seven nights or until the object is burned away into nothingness. The flames also burn very slowly, which produces agonizing torture upon combustion.
Susano'o

Itachi’s Susano’o is the strongest Jutsu in his arsenal. Weilding the legendary Totsuka Blade, said to be able to seal anything it pierces, and Yata Mirror, the shield that deflects all chakra elements, He could be essentially invincible.

The 4th Hokage of the Villiage Hidden in the Leaves. Hailed as the Fastest man in the world, He is dubbed "The Yellow Flash of the Leaf Villiage." With his Flying Raijin Jutsu, He is granted the ability to instantaniously teleport at speeds near light to any marked location as he so desires. When combined with his originally created jutsu, the Rasengan, he is a most deadly opponent!
Summoning Jutsu
This allows Minato to summon Gamabunta and the other two Chief Toads.
Rasengan
Sealing Jutsu: Reaper Death Seal
This is a Forbidden Jutsu that seals the soul of Minato's opponent and his own into a void of nothingness for eternity. It takes an incredible ammount of chakra to perform, but it if unresisted, the oppponent is as good as dead. However, Minato himself dies as well.
Flying Raijin
The cornerstone in Minato's arsenal. This ability allows him to teleport at speeds near light instantaniously whenever he so desires. He can throw pre-marked kunai onto the field and warp to them anytime. Also, he can place a seal on anything and everyone he touches with his palm, making them into additional warping zones.
Flying Raijin: Level #1
This is the baseline technique of the Flying Raijin. Minato simply teleports to a location that is marked with the special Flying Raijin contract seal. This is usually a pre-marked kunai knife, or it could also be a person or object personally marked by Minato himself with the Flying Raijin contract seal.
Flying Raijin: Level #2
A more advanced and versatile way of utilizing the Flying Raijin. In this case, Minato throws a pre-marked kunai knife at an opponent. However, in this situation, Minato teleports to the kunai whili it is still in mid-flight and strikes at the unsuspecting opponent with a melee attack or a secondary ninjutsu.
Flying Raijin: Time and Space Teleportation Barrier
This is the most advanced and chakra-straining way of using the Flying Raijin. In this case, Minato holds one of his pre-marked kunai in front of him after weaving a few handsigns. Once the jutsu has been activated, Minato erects a barrier that alters the void of time and space to counter an enemy’s incoming attack (usually long range, but CAN be unorthodoxly used for close range). If an enemy launches a long range attack, the slug will collide with the barrier and enter the space/time void. Once the slug has been fully engulfed by the void, Minato can direct the slug to an alternate location, which could range from several feet to several miles away. However, unlike the other branches of the Flying Raijin, this move is NOT instantaneous.
Minato can't use Flying Raijin to teleport off of the battlefield
If Minato uses Sealing Jutsu: Reaper Death Seal, He dies as well.
Now that we know a bit more about our combatants, we may let the battle commence! The setting will be an open field with no retreating. Intent to kill, as always. Itachi nor Minato are holding ANYTHING back (and are NOT Reanimated). Minato wants Itachi’s head for the crimes he has commited against the Leaf. Obviously, Itachi ain’t takin’ that sh*t from ANYONE! Can the Yellow Flash truly overcome the Uchiha Clan’s top dogg? Or will the “Solo King” once again defend his crown?
Only one way to find out. . .

Now with THAT being said. . . I will give you Daisy’s thoughts on this battle and why Daisy believes that these two are roughly equivalent to each other with EXTENSIVE research and reasoning.
MOST IMPORTANT PART OF THE THREAD!!!!!!!!!
Now Daisy has analyzed this battle TIME AND TIME AGAIN and come to a pretty concise conclusion on the possible outcomes of the battle. I have looked over the facts and IO must say that the Solo King and the Yellow Flash are roughly equal to one another. Itachi has more raw power and jutsu to work with. However, Minato, although with limited jutsu (as we know of now), has MUCH more versatility in his movements and abilities.
Now through analyzing both combatants’ abilities and feats, I have come up with the conclusion of 4 different scenarios in which Itachi and Minato can defeat one another.
LET’S SET THE STAGE!!!
In the beginning of the battle, Minato will most likely scatter his pre-marked kunai around the battlefield. Itachi will most likely cast a weak genjutsu on Minato. In this situation, Minato will most likely break the genjutsu and begin utilizing the Flying Raijin: Level #1 Jutsu.
Scenario #1
Minato will begin by utilizing Flying Raijin: Level #1. He will teleport to a kunai placed near itachi and slit the throat or nail him with a Rasengan before he even has a chance to react to the godly speed.
Scenario #2
Minato will try the same tactic, but will be blocked by a crow clone or shadow clone. Itachi will be in another location and launch a Fire Style Jutsu or a shuriken Jutsu. Minato will escape any possible damage by utilizing the Flying Raijin. In this instance, Minato will be aware of Itachi’s TRUE location and concidering it isn’t a clone, he will once again utilize Flying Raijin: Level #1.
Sub-Scenario #1
If Itachi HAS Used the Shadow Clone Jutsu or Crow Clone Jutsu, Minato will simply retaliate by spamming his Flying Raijin: Level #1 Jutsu until the REAL Itachi is located.
Sub-Scenario #2
If Itachi has caught onto Minato’s Flying Raijin combo pattern and is able to anticipate or avoid Minato’s Flying Raijin: Level #1, Minato will be able to catch him off guard by utilizing Flying Raijin: Level #2!
Sub-Scenario #3
In this sub-scenario, I’ll assume that Itachi avoided the jugular slash or facial Rasengan. In this situation, Minato will place his palm upon Itachi’s body (no homo). Once this happens, a contract Seal for the Flying Raijin will be placed on Itachi, allowing Minato to warp to him at any given moment using Flying Raijin: Level #1. This will catch Itachi off guard and get him a Rasengan to the face or a kunai slash to the jugular.
Scenario #3
This is where things begin to get interesting. Itachi from here on will begin to utilize the Mangekyou. Now we all know Minato has at least SOME experience fighting Sharingan, but here’ I’ll assume that he get’s ensnaired in Tskuyomi. Once Minato gets ensnared in tsukuyomi, his psyche will be ravaged by an unrelenting torture session. Now since Minato isn’t an Uchiha and doesn’t posess the Sharingan, there is ABSOLUTELY NO chance of him escaping or breaking out of Tsukuyomi. However, just because he can’t ESCAPE Tsukuyomi doesn’t mean he can’t TANK Tsukuyomi! After the Tsukuyomi session ends, Minato will be heavily drained, but so will Itachi. Itachi’s movements will be quite sluggish and sloppy. This will be Minato’s chance to go on the offensive. In this situation, Minato will take advantage of Itachi’s sluggish and slothlike movements and take him out with Flying Raijin: Level #1.
Scenario #4
In this situation, Itachi will be able to regain his composure after using Tsukuyomi. He will then resort to Amaterasu. Minato however will be too swift for Itachi to utilize Amaterasu directly. Instead, he will use it on the BATTLEFIELD. Minato will be cut off from most of his preset kunai due to the Amaterasu wildfire, but will be able to reset a small field of jump points by rethrowing a few kunai in umburning patches of the field. Itachi will erect his Susano’o to its Complete or Final form in order to protect himself from Minato and ensure a slow and painful death via Amaterasu or Totsuka.
Sub-Scenario #1
In this situation, Minato will be facing Itachi’s Complete Susano’o. Itachi will try to take minato down with some Fire Style jutsu or an Amaterasu snipe to no prevail. He will resort to the Yasaka Beads next. This jutsu will most likely have a VERY large destruction range and will splatter Amaterasu Flames onto Minato. Realizing this, Minato will weave his hand signs and utilize the Flying Raijin: Time and Space Teleportation Barrier. With this, he can redirect the Yasaka Beads back at Itachi and shatter his Susano’o. Once the Susano’o has been compromised, Minato can then end the battle with Flying Raijin: Level #1 OR Level #2.
Sub-Scenario #2
In this case, Itachi will have his FINAL Susano’o in play. He will come at Minato with the Totsuka blade, but the blade will be avoided with Flying Raijin. Anything Minato throws at Itachi will be blocked by the Yata Mirror. However, with Itachi expending so much chakra, he will not be able to maintain Final Susano’o for very long. After a long session of slash and dodge, Itachi will succumb to his stamina limits and lose Susano’o. There, Minato will strike with his Flying Raijin: Level #1 OR Level #2.
Sub-Scenario #3
This scenario is a bit farfetched and has been debated for a long time, but it is COMPLETELY PLAUSIBLE. Minato is now staring down the Complete OR Final Susano’o of Itachi Uchiha. Having previously branded Itachi with the Flying Raijin’s contract seal, Minato will utilize Flying Raijin: Level #1 and teleport DIRECTLY to Itachi. Minato will now be INSIDE of Itachi’s Susano’o! Itachi’s “perfect defense” will then become his GREATEST ENEMY! Itachi is now trapped like a rat inside of his own jutsu. He has only one of two options.
Option #1
He will be trapped inside of Susano’o with nowhere to go and tired beyond human comprehension. Minato will simply end him with a swift Flying Raijin strike or a Rasengan. There will be little to no possible resistance from Itachi.
Option #2
Itachi will deactivate Susano’o and try to escape from Minato. This will be of no use as minato will simply warp back to him or use Flying Raijin: Level #2 to catch him. From there, Minato will end the fight with a jugular slash or Rasengan.
Scenario #1
Itachi’s Genjutsu has just been broken. Minato uses Flying Raijin and strikes down Itachi only to find out that he has actually just struck a rigged Shadow Clone. The clone detonates, slamming Minato to the ground. There, Itachi can simply bomb Minato with a strong Fire Style Ninjutsu or use Amaterasu. Minato will be unable to resist.
Scenario #2
Minato has just broken Itachi’s initial Genjutsu. Minato then goes for Itachi with Flying Raijin and strikes him down. To Minato’s astonishment, it was simply a Crow Clone.
Using this as a distraction, Itachi can chain this with another weak genjutsu and partially paralyze Minato. Once Minato is ensnared within the Genjutsu, Itachi can end the battle by bombing Minato with stron Fire Style Ninjutsu or by using Amaterasu. Minato will be unable to resist.
Scenario #3
Minato has broken through all of Itachi’s Genjutsu and escaped from being hit with Amaterasu or his Fire Style Ninjutsu. This time Itachi waits for Minato to get close. Once the two of the lock eyes, Tsukuyomi is unleashed, sending Minato into the Nightmare Realm for relentless torture. Once Tsukuyomi is finished, Minato will be broken and unable to resist Itachi. Once Itachi regains his composure from Tsukuyomi’s Backlash, he can end the battle with Amaterasu as using a Fire Style Ninjutsu or shuriken jutsu would give Minato time to use Flying Raijin and escape.
Scenario #4
In this situation, Minato has been trapped in Tsukuyomi and escapes the death blow. Itachi will then use Amaterasu. Knowing that trying to snipe Minato wil be pointless, he will instead torch the entire battlefield. This will in turn incinerate Minato’s pre-set Kunai and cut him off from hia Flying Raijin jump points. Itachi will then erect his Susano’o to ensure absolute defense.
Sub-Scenario #1
Itachi has torched the field in Amaterasu Flames. Now, Minato will try to escape by throwing a few new kunai and using Flying Raijin. Itachi will see this and use Fire Style Ninjutsu to cut him off. Once completely cut off and out of options, Minato will be struck with Amaterasu and lose the battle.
Sub-Scenario #2
Itachi has torched the field with Amaterasu Flames. Using his Complete Susano’o, Itachi can use the blade or Yasaka Beads to chase Minato into a patch of Amaterasu Flames. Once he has been struck by Amaterasu, the battle is over. Minato may struggle, but the flames will be the end of him in due time.
Sub-Scenario #3
Itachi has torched the firld in Amaterasu Flames. Now, he can use his Final Susano’o. In using his Final Susano’o, Itachi can trap Minato in a patch of grass that is untouched and surrounded by Amaterasu Flames. Once trapped and nowhere to go, Itachi can utilize the Torsuka Blade and Seal Minato, ending the battle instantly.
Now in Daisy’sPERSONAL opinion, Minato is EVER SO SLIGHTLY superior to Itachi as I just simply see more instances in Minato’s versatility giving him MANY more chances to strike down Itachi with little to no prior notice. More so than Itachi’s rudimentary methods and unorthodox jutsu.
In all, I would say that these two brutes are equal in strength. However, when against each other, Minato’s abilities give him just a slight edge over Itachi.
When was Itachi as fast as Minato Granted without the Flying Raijin? Without Flying Raijin, yes they are. But with it, Itachi can't keep up. He can only track with Sharingan and predict where Minato will pop up next. But if you see another potential flaw, PLEASE let me know.
Well that sucks that the last was deleted Daisy, but anyways like I stated these two in my book are too close to call for a few reasons.
Like stated in your post Itachi possesses LUDICROUS genjutsu making him nearly unbeatable if he catches you with Tsukyomi. But he has to catch you and Minato is faster than Itachi way faster but there is still a good chance. But then Itachi has a few more tricks up his sleeve including Amaterasu (which Minato may be able to dodge) and Susanoo (which Minato may be able to outlast the onslaught). However Itachi is also in for a fight. Minato's speed is matched by no one. He also has way more stamina than Itachi. So Itachi's only chance, is to catch him in genjutsu or use Susanoo.
