Whats the worst encounter you've had with an animal?

Hmm... I haven't had any particular incidents where I was harmed by an animal. There was one time during hunting season when a young black bear we had seen in the area came into camp at night. It's actually kind of funny in hindsight. He broke into a freezer, and he ate all the expensive meats while leaving behind the cheap stuff. He also went into the wall tent while everyone was sleeping and stole my mom's homemade pie, which was resting right by a guys head. No one ever woke up during all of this. To top it off, he took the pie tin to the middle of camp, left a paw print in it, and took a giant shit. The bear was later put down by the forest service because he conducted similar raids on other camps, and he was getting to be a nuisance. I guess some ladies had been feeding him earlier in the season.

Well, you probably aren't going to outmuscle him. I'd say your best bet is to work on your wrestling/grappling techniques. It doesn't matter so much how tall someone is if they're flat on their back. My dad was a state champ high school wrestler, and he got in a lot of fights. Despite the fact that he is a little man, he was able to win most of them. Here's a takedown move he taught me:

I think it's possible that we medical technology may advance to that state, but it probably won't happen in my lifetime. Our understanding of the brain is nascent at best.

No, not really. I like this thread a lot. That's why I keep it going.

I can be pretentious, and sometimes I make people feel like I'm talking down to them. I don't want to, but I guess I come off like that on occasion.
