NEW SONIC GAME RUMOR: "Sonic Excursion"

Take it with a grain of salt as it's coming from IHeartNintendo, a gaming blog but here are the details

-Level titled “Shattered Heights” will be reminiscent of New York. Wil consist of Sonic and Tails breaking through tall buildings as humans gasp in horror

-Sonic and Tails communicate to each other in every level and discuss surroundings. Each character can access parts the other character can’t.

-Developers aim to make a Sonic Generations that played like the Genesis titles

-The game will feature Sonic, Tails, Eggman, Knuckles, and Amy Rose, along with some sort of Magical necklace.

-Emblems will make returns. Levels will include S rank missions, “Collect all Red Ring” missions, and side missions for ever character.

- Will be released on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii U, PC, 3DS, PlayStation 4, and Xbox Infinite November 2013. All the versions will be the same, PC PS4 and Xbox Infinite will have much higher resolutions. 3DS version will not be handled by Dimps

I can say 100% fully as an incredibly dedicated Sonic Fan, if this turns out to be true and all the information is completely legit, I'll start saving up for a PS4. This is the best news I've heard in the last 30 days, Sonic Team hasn't released a new Sonic game or any type of teaser or trailer in over a year and a half, which is incredibly long for SEGA.

Praying this is true, but it probably won't be since other rumors and quotes are heavily hinting towards the next Sonic game being 'Sonic Adventure 3'.

Does anybody in this thread play Sonic games? Or played any recently?
If you're a fan, you're hopefully as excited as I am. I really can't say how amazing this game sounds.
The last Sonic game we got was the 20th anniversary, Sonic Generations, back in end of 2011, and it was a very descent game, but fell short of expectations. Still a playable game though, glitch free and all that jazz. The replay value was the biggest fault though.

And now they're bringing back playable characters (which we haven't had since Sonic 06, a disaster of a game back in 2006). I know this is going to be ssooooooo awesome. Then, another issue we've had with the past games is that they've felt a bit too childish, and not really balanced out for all ages. This mminor description at least gives me hope of that edgy return.

I still don't trust any new Sonic games.

Hey, you really can not blame people for not liking that last boss.
Do you understand how much potential it had? 2 Super Sonics, and 2 Eggmans? Felt pretty downplayed, then the controls could've used polishing.

Do you really think it was a good boss?

Because most of the newer ones were bad.

Examples? We haven't had any new Sonic games in a while, unless you're refering to Generations and Sonic 4.

I enjoyed every part of Generations.. bandwagon haters will always hate on the latest Sonic games becaus eothers say it, even if they haven't tried the games.

I've enjoyed all of the 3D games besides Silver's story in Sonic 06. There's nothing wrong with the games unless you try hard to look for them.
