I guess we'll have to see if the themes start popping up. People might see some of Pain's ideals as the warning of more dangerous ninja than even madara. If more questions are opened up in future issues than can be answered or if a longer time skip takes place theres a chance, but for now I think Madara is as high as we can go.

Ninja wars spring to mind, but the sage of six paths looks like a possible avanue for a rinnegan to pop up again (though with Jiraya's thoughts on him, I wouldnt think him to be a bad guy in any sense). Bar Kakuzu and to an extent Orochimaru, the manga has a tendancy to go further back for more powerful (influencial) villains, so Im not sure one is just going to pop up.

But assuming the end of the manga see's akatsuki fail in sealing the beasts, that might very well lead somewhere too.

next chapter will be more about kabuto i think cuz kishi didnt finish what he started anko and sai know his location maybe it will be little fight against kabuto then naruto will join them in that time sasuke will be in konoha to kill danzo...

that was from his attempt of trying to catch the 8-tails but that was before Pain attacked Konoha in the manga

Sasuke dashes off to Madara?s hideout

Madara: (switches to Tobi) So let me see! O.K. Sasori?Kakuzu?Hidan?Diedara?Pain??OH!!, OF COURSE, and Itachi!

Sasuke: Enough. I will take Konoha with your help or not.

Madara: So you came to ask me for assistance. We will need a plan. Pain has resurrected all those he killed in Konoha. AKUTSKI MUST ATTACK NOW!!

Everyone on Akutski opens their eyes in shock.

All the members do a jutsu sign.

All together: Release!

Each one of them is possessed with the power of the tailed beast that best fits them. 7 beasts and 7 Akutski members. They all have the ability to summon their beast, like the 8 tails? possessor does. Each beast gives them a supernatural ability. For example, the three tails will give its owner hard skin, and five tails will give the ability to use all 5 elements. They ambush Konoha, and each one of them isolates a ninja to fight. Of course, Sasuke won?t have to find anybody to isolate, because Naruto will find him. Then the final war begins.
(Remember, Akutski doesn?t simply release the beasts, because the beasts benefit from their host?s knowledge, thus utilizing its abilities better.)

God no.. what are you saying!? Another timeskip would be cool, but eeew, Konohamaru.

It's also funny how people are so crazed about the whole sentimental aspect favoring 437 over all the awesome more related stuff that has happened? Gawd.. Kishi is probably not even going to highlight it that much.. Go read Shoujo and romance mangas x<

Agreed, if we see Konohamaru becoming Hokage at all it will probably be in the very last chapter before the manga ends. Like Naruto becomes Hokage, then it just kinda time-skips to show everyone's families and Konohamaru as Hokage.

It'd be cool if the series ended with Konohamaru as and old man (Hokage) reading the story of Naruto to the younger generation.

In manga 404 Remember madara saying about the actual truth which itachi took with himself to his grave maybe that truth might be revealed by danzo or the elders to sasuke when he invades konoha and then he might change his mind again and maybe he joins the hunt to kill madara with the leaf
