Uzumaki & senju

Ok. To make it clear. Is uzumaki the same as the senju?whatz the difference? How come naruto is part senju and uzumaki if both his parent are uzumaki? Or was his dad a senju. But just changed his last name because he married kushina? I'm hella lost with uzumaki and senju whole thing. Help

Senju and Uchiha are the kids of an Uzumaki member called Rikudou Sennin! (no kidding, i think this is the truth)

and btw, Minato (narutos dad) is not an Uzumaki xD he's from the Namikaze Clan... (we've never seen anyone else from the Namikaze Clan tho)

It hasn't been explained yet in detail.
All we know so far, is they were distantly related.
Kushina was an Uzumaki, Minato was from the Namikaze. We have yet to learn anything about his dads clan.

The Uzumakis and Senjus are cousin clans. The Senjus and Uchihas are the clans of Rikūdo's children. Rikūdo's Clan himself was the Uzumakis who were a priestly clan like him.
