Zetsu/Yamato and Orochimaru's involvement

As we know Madara was the 1st to abstract Hashimara's DNA and to make a clone, this being Zetsu. The second perosn to do this was Orochimaru, by injecting children with Hashimara's DNA creating Yamato. However, where did this Orochimaru formulate such an idea??

Here informs Tobi that he is aware that Zetsu is infact a Hashimara clone, resutling to Tobi cursing Orochimaru's name for having to found this out during his time in akatsuki. However, Orochimaru was supposedly still part of the village when have created yamato. We all know Orochimaru was indeed interested in collecting information

I have concluded that Orochimaru being the spy he was, was part of akatsuki while still part of the leaf village and after gathering info and finding Tobi's true identity and motives out capitalized on this and tried to create his own masterpiece (Yamato). That Orochimaru is so slick!

Now, my bigger question is why is there such a difference between Zetsu and Yamato? Zetsu comes from this

Probably because Yamato was already a physical person when he was experimented on with Hashirama DNA , whereas Zetsu was physically created with Hashirama DNA.

Now that Orochimaru is occupying a zetsu clone his strength has increased and anyone who gains Hashirama's DNA gets a strength boost. My guess is that with Hashirama's auto-healing, Madara was unnable to get a DNA sample from HIS body. This means he took Hashirama's degraded DNA/chakra from the Shinsuusenju/Heretical Demon Statue. Since it didn't come from Hashirama's physical cells, it's retarded. Orochimaru's version comes from Hashirama's real body, resulting in a more complete version of Hashirama's power.

I assume that Yamato was lucky in his capability to the dna..cuz the ones that Oro had tested on didn't survive while Yamato was the only one that did.
