Most Difficult Language??

English is the easiest language.Only 26 letter of which the whole language is composed of.Its cursive format makes it easier to write and also makes it the fastest language on paper.
Mandarin and east Asian languages are quite difficult because of the large volume of their letters.They are hard to write as they have quite complex figures.
Well hardness of the language is mostly dependent on the background of learner.Like if anyone knows English then Spanish would be easier for him than Japanese or Korean.If he knows Hindi then he will learn Sanskrit faster than English.ultimately it on the learner,that how sincerely he or she is learning that language.

Everyone seems to think that the English language is the simplest, but it really isn't.
I hear it's very difficult to adjust to if your language isn't Latin based.
The complexity in our language isn't really from lettering, it's from all of the different ways we say things.
It's much more complex than some other languages. Maybe not the hardest, but far from the easiest.

You can actually learn the writing in 1 day. But yeah the speaking is a bit hard like japanese.

on another account dont know why but after learning sanskrit atleast i can pronounce any word of any language easily,and that helps me in learning other language fast enough

Chinese is the most difficult language to learn. It's really hard to recognize the characters when you are trying to learn it since there are like 3,500 characters in standard Chinese and over 80,000 Chinese characters in the whole of Chinese language. I read an article about a person who had learnt an extraordinary number of languages and he said learning Chinese took him the longest as it was the hardest.

I myself among many other languages (that I don't feel the need to mention) speak English.

English is most likely the hardest language to learn. A lot of people will think that Eastern Oriental languages are because the words don't match the sounds really, but they aren't as complicated as one might think. I've been studying English all my life though, I understand it more than any English major could hope to, and even I feel like it's hard. It's also the fastest growing language as well, which adds to the difficulty if one seeks to master it. I seriously doubt English can be mastered, and I don't feel the same about other languages.

More people speak English than anything else, and yet English is made up of every other language there is. In fact, English is like the United States in a way. The US is made up of every nation, yet it is one. English is made up of every other language, and it too is one. Given enough time, it will be the only language on the planet, but still no one will ever be able to master it. ^_^

If you know Spanish then French, Italian and Portuguese will come to you pretty quickly.

English is really precise and you have to know the special cases and stuff. I think its pretty hard, especially if you're not a native english speaker.

If you know a Germanic language, I think Mandarin would be the hardest widely-used language to learn (and vice versa for Chinese people learning Germanic). Click languages would be very hard as well

I've read that English is the hardest language to learn. Kinda makes sense, I guess. I'm teaching myself Japanese. The kanas are quite easy, but Kanji... well that's another story.
