[Discussion] Sasuke is very limited against Naruto

In episode 143, Sasuke attempted to use Genjutsu on Bee. After that failed, Bee said something like "You need a companion to break out of Genjutsu, and the Hachibi is my companion. Genjutsu is worthless against a jinchuriki that controls their bijuu." Although this is common knowledge, Bee saying that made me realize that since Naruto has befriended Kurama, Genjutsu can't be used against him. That got me thinking about how limited Sasuke would be in a fight against Naruto.

Obviously Genjutsu isn't an option. As for chidori/lightning techniques, I vaguely remember something about wind chakra being the ideal counter for them. Naruto is one of the fastest ninja ever, so Amaterasu would never hit. At first, you might assume that using fire techniques would be a good strategy, but in 628 Naruto shows that he is more than capable of blocking them using Kurama's chakra (you could make the point that it left him exhausted, but he was protecting everyone in the battle. I don't think he would have a problem protecting just himself in a 1 vs. 1 situation). Sasuke has other options, but not many.

I swear I'm not a Naruto fanboy... but I can't help but think Sasuke would be in trouble in a fight against him.

Well, they are the ideal opponents for eachother...

Both have a disadvantage when fighting eschother.

Ignite the battlefield in black flames, taijutsu is useless against Susano'o, TBB is completely avoidable, Naruto cannot speed blitz forever, Sasuke has been using his techniques since the showing of EMS with no strain at all. It isn't as one sided as people seem to think.

2. You forgot to mention about bijju dama, naruto's best attack.
3. Sasuke's katon counter naruto's wind.
4. EMS Sasuke will get a new jutsu which we have yet to see.
5. Yagura, who was also a perfect jinchuriki, was controlled by genjutsu.
6. It is not necessary naruto can dodge amaterasu, naruto haven't done that yet and saying that is pure assumption.
7. Sasuke also have susano which i think you forgot.

To use Kirin, Naruto would have to be incapacitated already. The build up takes a long time... Sasuke wouldn't be able to get a clean shot. Also, Itachi survived it using Susano'o, Naruto could probably do something similar with Kurama's chakra

I didn't forget anything.... the point of my post wasn't to be an in-depth analysis of a hypothetical battle between Sasuke and Naruto. What I said was just a brief rundown of ways Naruto can counter Sasuke. Didn't you see the part where I said "Sasuke has other options"?

Amaterasu is almost impossible to dodge. Even if Naruto just dodges the Amaterasu would still just follow him like Itachi VS Sasuke.

Also Obito has used Genjutsu on a Jinchuuriki and has been successful. I doubt Sasuke would have a bad time with his Genjutsu on Naruto.

Depends, if your genjutsu ability is very strong, example - 4th Mizukage and Obito controlling him. He is said to have Mastered his tailed beast. It seems Sasukes genjutsu isnt so powerful

Yeah it would be. Sasuke doesn't have as much chakra as Naruto so he would have to use his techniques carefully.

That's very true. Naruto's amazing chakra and stamina are serious advantages.

Has Sasuke gotten stronger genjutsu since then? Because I was only talking about Genjutsu when referring to that fight.
