Only times he seemed to have gone anywhere near insanity is when he thought Hinata died, and his depression when Neji died, and Oro's taunts on Sasuke.

So if you're not Sasuke or some kind of Hyuga, good luck. I say, he'll be fine. And pesky Obito has warped away and Madara doesn't do that psychological thing. He just taunts and plays around with you.

Chapter 437, when Pain stabs Hinata and he thinks she is dead he completely loses it and goes KN6. He vowed before not use the kyuubi's power ever before. It made no sense at the time, and is still weird for me.

Oh and to clear up that the Kyuubi uses any anger or hatred no mater how small and manifests it and the seal being weak didn't help plus he met his father a double edged sword if you ask me he meets his dad and nearly loses a friend which in my opinion was a reckless move she should have made a plan espeshally if she knew pain was way to strong to fight directly
