Jiraya could barely take out 3 pains in sage mode ..... His SM is overrated .. And A moderate ST clears a good portion of the forest...And Then Asura Path Launches Deva Towards the two ... And Chakra rod in hand then ... THEN ! BT becomes usable

Jiraiya doesn't need to beat Pain by himself cause we all know he can't. He just needs to prep Frog Song, which won't be that hard in a forest, where they can hide, at 200 meters.

No. Deva's moderate ST isn't blowing down a good portion of the forest of death nor is it clearing out the area J-man and Naruto are in which is 200 meters away.

Pain can put Animal Path on his bird and make it fly out of Frog Song's reach. When Frog Song is used, Animal Path can summon the rest of the Paths on the bird, where they can recover.

I presume you gave intel them. So with intel:


1. Invasion of pain arc Kakashi, Asuma, Neji. Pain low difficulty

2. Jiraiya + 3 boss toads + Ma and Pa ( starts in Sage Mode ) This is a tricky one, 'cause Pain admitted Jiraiya could defeat him if he had knowledge about his abilities. But this is hype so I'm going with Pain ( high difficulty )

3. Tsunade + Orochimaru ( no Edo ). Even individually, they are on pair with Jiraiya. Together they should win, however they have no counter against the CT. So again, Pain high diff.

4. SM Naruto + Hebi Sasuke. Can Naruto use the Kyuubi? If he can, they win. If not, Pain wins mid difficulty.

5. Taka ( MS Sasuke + Suigetsu + Karin + Jugo ). I think the Taka can make it. Healthy Itachi is on pair with Pain, and Sasuke is at least as strong ( if not stronger ) then his brother. Taka high difficulty

6. Sick Itachi + Kisame. itachi and Kisame high difficulty

7. SM Naruto + SM Jiraiya + 3 boss toads + Ma and Pa. Naruto and Jiraiya mid- high difficulty

8. Ay ( v2 ) Pain mid difficulty. A single Kage is not enough against him

9. Killer Bee ( V2 ) + Ay ( v2 ) A and Bee high difficulty

10. Gaara + Ay + Onoki The 3 Kage wins even without intel.

Pain was already shown to be unable to dispel the Genjutsu when he got trapped against Jiraiya. Why would he be able to dispel it now?

Not dispel it persay. I suggested he used Animal Path's chakra blades to stab his own paths and as such interrupt the chakra flow of the bodies. Through this, the genjutsu would be dispelled.

Oh I see. Well I guess that Pain wins this then as long as he refrains from using his Large ST.

Unless the naruka path get scaught all is for naught... Animal Path ( or any path un effected ) Since they have knowledge they would know its coming as they did when they fought Naruto they would spread out so frog song would not affect all of them Pat is right this isnt a tube where echo becomes a problem . Once one gets caught Another kills it and it is then revived by naruka path...

that looks like a good portion of 200 meters too me .. ( no one said anything about this being the forest of death ) and i mis spoke .. what i meant to portray was that it would take out a good portion of the 200 meters .. in between the paths and forest or not .Asura path can still launch any pain ... Decreasing the range between them .

Even asura paths missiles would also help in clearing the terrain

i realize all this takes time but They would interrupt frog song prep as well

Pein takes this fairly easily. The only point where he would have a bit of trouble is through SM Naruto and Jiraiya. We all know that the frog song was used in the pipes and hence it was amplified. Its range wasn't that big as Asura, Deva, and Nakara that were right behind the other three paths never got effected. Which implies that in open space, this frog Song will cause a bit of disturbance, and certainly won't incapacitate any paths from participating in the battle.

The frog Summons are easily tanked with Animal Paths summons and Deva's ST. Cerberus Summon alone would prove to be quite the handful for them. Naruto's RasanShuriken can be easily avoided with speed and as both of them lack any Sharingan or Byakugan like ability, Nakara path can simply hide inside the Chameleon to escape the battle altogether, and the Chameleon can swallow the destroyed body, if need be.

With Cerberus and bird summon - forgotten its name - on the battlefield together with ST and BT that will constantly make them collide with one another and Petra path on the front with Asura on a position to guard it, I can't see any summon or its attack getting through. Also, I don't understand how Jiraiya's SM is unlimited, when he was out of breath, together with the worn out Maa and Paa after using high end techniques against the paths? This implies that it isn't exactly unlimited as people here believe, otherwise, Jiraiya would have simply drawn energy out of the surrounds to aid him.

All attacks from Naruto and Jiraiya are absorbed and sooner or later, Naruto's SM time limit will be up and Jiraiya will be worn out from the battle. Mid difference most.
