Yes, but you are forgetting a key element with sound: the speed. This would likely be a low frequency sound wave, thus moving faster than higher frequencies and bouncing off object faster. Though, you would be correct, if there is an empty field, there would be nothing for the waves to bounce off of except the earth and the target.THe advantages i would seem that it can sense everything around them like a sensor, but limited to where they are. It needs to bounds off of something so if they are merged somewhere you wouldn't know. If it's like an open field ~__~ there is nothing to bounce off of so no information is fed back. Also the further it has to travel to bounce off something it would take a longer time to get that information so there is lag with it.

And that's subjective. One could indeed say that would be plausible, while another might argue that the sound waves are still created in conjunction to the jutsus. Sound needs revamping and this will likely be addressed.
Also, you forgot a large disadvantage of this if it's a passive jutsu. It essentially amplifies all sound the user hears and as such, large explosions and sound would harm the user's ears at a greater scale than an enemy. You could deactivate it if it's passive but it's always something to be weary about.
Then if we can amplify our hearing through the use of chakra, why can't we make it so that we don't hear some things amplified? For example our own techniques. We are able to use sound jutsu's with different frequencies. How can we not be able to use different frequencies so that we can be immune to so much hearing???I'm not sure. I was told that due to focusing sound waves to our ears as we use this, it amplifies our hearing as well, allowing us to hear small sounds greatly amplified. Because of this, all sounds are amplified. The breathing would cause the waves to touch anything, allow us to physically sense how far it is as well as what it is. O_O

Fairly simple, you charge chakra into your hands and smash them together, creating a high frequency wave that vibrates at frequencies high enough to disperse incoming jutsus. Very straightforward and fast, though not really useful. (Who really uses C-ranks and below in fights? lol)

The way it's worded if you hit somewhere vital it could kill lol. Though I understand how this works, basically a tai/sound combo, almost like my wind CFS that i submited a while ago. With that area of their body having that chakra infused with it upon utilizing an attack with either of those areas it causes a release of sonic vibrations that act as a secondary blow. that makes the opponent unable to use what ever body part is hit for 1 turn.Even if the opponent manages to evade, chances are they still will be hit by the sonic release. If thats the case this jutsus damage is halved.

This one is actually one that can be altered. Notice how the technique makes an opponent his limb unusable if being hit. Let's assume they are low frequency waves, because the technique lasts an entire turn (which is a lot of time in our RP, if you can't use a certain limb). I'd say, you could easily higher the frequency/amplitude to instead of simply making the limb unusable, you could actually gravely harm it.
