Kishi knew this as a matter of fact which is why he chose Shisui to follow the 'Will of Fire'. He knew that Shisui would be a dangerous and powerful shinobi.

So how did he lose his eyeeye

Danzo stole his right eye and he gave his left eye to Itachi all thanks to the 'Will of Fire'. But what i'm saying is, if he were following the 'Curse of Hatred' instead - he would've had both his eyes, Danzo would probably be dead long before Sasuke would know him and Itachi would be fodderized and manipulated rather than been given a precious sharingan eye.

KA is overpowered and without a doubt one of the most powerful jutsu's and the most powerful genjutsu. What I was initially thinking was, remember the time when Shisui was about to give his eye to Itachi. Well, if he was following the 'Curse of Hatred' ideal, then he would've used KA on Itachi rather than giving him his precious sharingan. It was only Itachi's luck and Kishi's plot

Shisui would indeed be quiet a handful to deal with if he had been evil. His genjutsu was as Op as it gets, heck i even theorize that Itachi's illusion techs came about as a result of watching/learning/being influenced by Shisui:

Also, its quite possible that since Shisui was likely preping for a koto on an Uchiha clan member/s, that he did'nt anticipate Danzo taking away his eye.

You kidding me? He never took part in the Uchiha Clan Massacre. In fact i'm not even sure he knew about any Massacre that would've taken place among the Uchiha. The original light of the Uchiha, the shinobi who followed the 'Will of Fire' and endured the most whilst surrounded by darkness was Kagami Uchiha.

"Kagami Uchiha's son was Shisui Uchiha" who inherited the great will from his father. Shisui was devoted to the village much more than he was to his Clan and wouldn't lay a hand on anyone. However if things were different and he followed the 'Curse of Hatred' as stated in this thread, then he would eventually become the most OP character in Naruto. Obviously Kishi knew this, and that is why Shisui was made out to be sacrificed and never Edo'd because of his abilities.

Perhaps in Edo form WITH Hashirama cells - highly hypothetical - he could have recharged it faster, but had he lived, I am unsure how a single use and a recharge period of a decade would aid him in any manner.

He never let Danzo take his eye you moron. Danzo used a powerful jutsu which doesn't have a distinct name but is known as Danzo's Juinjutsu. It is a fuinjutsu(sealing tech) that was last used against Sasuke during his fight. There is a strong belief that this jutsu was used in order to paralyze Shisui's movements so leaving Danzo to instantly steal his right eye before Shisui even had any time to break free from the seal. hmm

Shisui betrayed his clan the same way Itachi did. However, they both knew their clan was tainted and followed the 'Curse of Hatred' which is why they followed the 'Will of Fire'. But the reason for their betrayal now was because the clan was about to cause another war in the village. Shisui and Itachi loved their village and were Uchiha's who followed the 'Will of Fire' unlike their clansmen. So if a war were to have started, who do you think they would've sided with? U_U

Shisui were to have both of his eyes each with Kotoamatsukami, then logically it would mean Shisui can use it twice each with a duration of 10yrs adding up to 20yrs if both are used. However Shisui is intelligent so he would use one to manipulate a powerful shinobi like Itachi, while he would still have the other to use. He would take the used eye out and place it into a sharingan container until it is recharged while meanwhile implant a sharingan eye with Izanagi or some other power in their. That way he can still be safe while having a powerful shinobi under his fingers like his bodyguard.

Good points, so he would put both his eyes out of use for 10 years? And those spare eyes would be lying around? Izanami powers are custom tailored? First time I am hearing of this.
