Part 1 characters who should've had more development/stayed for part 2

I'm re reading all of part 1, and I'm really amazed at how many awesome characters bit the dust. I personally feel like Team Dosu, or at least Dosu himself should've lived, or replaced the Sound 5. They could've turned out to have curse marks and then lasted longer.

I also feel that Orochimaru should've kept his face as the Jonin instructor after they left the forest, that one was awesome. The whole Sound village costume was badass really.

Anko should've had more development, and Kurenai had the potential to be a female Shisui. But weaker, maybe.

I always wanted more development on guys like Ibiki, Asuma, Kurenai, Anko, and the S Jounin and ANBU.
I feel like there's a lot of stories there that weren't tapped.

I agree with you. Anko got fodderized and Kurenai is pregnant. Oh, and I shouldn't even mention Tsunade, who is basically half the women she used to be. Damn Kishi, you must really hate the womans in your own manga

I disagree with the sound 5. They were extremely weak and almost got bested by 4 genin, shikimaru being the chunnin exception. Anko and kurenai both should of had more development though I agree. I always thought back in part 1 kurenai had some dojutsu we had yet to see

Kishi can't write females for shit, that's why most of em are either AFK (Kurenai/Anko) or welp..Dead.

I really would of liked most of the Sound Four and Kimimaro to have stayed and gotten a bit more action.
Anko too, she was cool.
Something should have been expanded upon/said about Mizuki in the manga....
Shizune needs more things to do....
Kabuto's two teammates/fellow spies during the Chunin Exam.
Dosu would have been a cool character
And Shukaku the Ichibi...
