Without kurama, base naruto instantly has reduced chakra.

Say goodbye to 1000 shadow clone jutsu right off the bat.
He wouldn't be able to learn rasengan as easy as he did because he wouldn't have kyuubi restoring him as fast anymore. He was only able to learn alot of his stuff because of kyuubi increasing the rate he recovers and boosting his massive chakra.

Without kyuubi, he would have died against haku. He and sasuke both.




It was only because of kyuubi he was able to learn rasenshuuriken. Without the massive chakra to allow him to use thousand clones, he wouldn't have learnt the jutsu that quickly. He wouldn't even be able to use that many clones that long, and when he dismissed them, he wouldn't recover from the damage as fast.

Alot of the things naruto has/learnt (rasengan, rasenshuriken, multiple shadow clones) was because of the kyuubi increasing his regeneration rate so he could train harder and longer. Without kyuubi, it's doubtful he'd be kage level. All he'd really have is rasengan, summoning and probably max 10 clones to use per fight. With his stupidity, that's not near enough clones. Quite possibly he could have had sage mode also. But that really would only allow him to use odama rasengan and frog kumite. he'd not have a massive array as jiraiya.

You severely underestimate his chakra level. Naruto would still be able to spam shadow clones. Idk why people think the main character of the manga is some baboon who got lucky to have kurama .

No it's been stated that naruto's chakra control and to an extent his chakra would have been better without it holding back kurama. Naruto without kurama would still be capable of rasenshuriken and sage mode( to a better extent as he would be able to fuse with frogs).

That didn't have a great effect on his control anyway, because of his large chakra reserves. That problem was noted in connection with the Five Elements Seal that Orochimaru placed upon him, which Jiraiya released anyway.

Not exactly. Considering Naruto's inability to utilize his rasengan or its variants without the use of clones even after the timeskip, one could assume his chakra control had not improved a fair amount. The only real explanation we have for his poor control was by kakashi and it was that it was the fox.

The oro seal made it near impossible for him to even muster anything. But even without that he had a few physical shortcomings in terms of chakra control. And now, with the seal gone, he's somehow dishing out chakra like they're hotcakes.

Only conclusion is that Naruto's chakra control was in large part mitigated by kurama.

Being on a phone I don't have time to look for scans but outside of that it has been noted that kurama makes it harder for naruto to control his chakra due to naruto holding it back in. There is a reason why naruto's chakra control is so godly right now being able to transfer and match chakra at a better level than minato and its that he always had a talent for it. Just wasn't being showcased.

My thread is in response to those who say that naruto is nothing without kurama, so I don't know where your post is getting at sorry. Im not trying to say naruto is the greatest thing since slice bread just that people underestimate the character you should least underestimate...aka the main character.

I'm on your side. I just don't get people who think that way. And post and say prime Hiruzen,base Naruto, Sasuke without sharingan etc. They are strong as they are and there is no point in imaginaning how strong they would be without something.

Naruto base and sage mode would most likely to improve if he wasn't Kyuubi's Jinchuuriki. Even if Kishimoto manage to take away Naruto's current abilities, he still find ways to make him one of top-tier shinobis considering that's what a protagonist is typically suppose to be.

Plus I do not take away powers, borrowed or not, because of Sir Derp Obito's quote:
