If it was Gaara with the Shukaku still inside him then it would honestly be low diff. His Sand was faster and more durable back then. He was slaughtering Deidara until he had to protect the village.

Gaara's AoE attacks create deserts, even though they're already in a sandy area. Full intel allows Gaara to take to the sky's and use AoE attacks that Minato can't escape.

It doesn't have to. The starting distance is 30 meters, Gaara can put up Sabaku no Dama before Minato can reach him and proceed to begin levitating. Sabaku no Yoroi also voids tagging as he can shed the area of sand that was tagged.

lol no minato covers 30 m like its nothing. Garra sand is not fast enough to keep up with minato. And your statement about pts garra being an even bigger win is just stupid. Pts garra barely beat lee how would he ever match up with minato

I'm pretty sure he meant early pt2 Gaara.

And no, Gaara only lost because he had to protect the village. Gaara was trashing him and Minato Ian fast enough to get to Gaara before he puts up a shield or uses Sand Armour.

Gaara has to fight a guy he can't trap (the entire basis of his arsenal), while minato summons up some toads, such as bunta, to give gaara a hard time.. Frog cart destroyer drops a 20ton bunta on gaara, then minato shunshin blitzes in to get a seal on gaara.

The limited arsenal minato we know of can't be beat by gaara, but i'm not entirely sure what he can use to put down gaara through his sand defence.

Ftg markings on toads or something, who knows. The guy isn't exactly an idiot. Seeing your opponent through a massive tsunami at you will have you start prepping. +he does have that 1 ability. Shunshin/some other version of FTG that allowed him to get kushina from under kyuubi's paw onto a tree, and also get him from the kage statue heads (across the village) to the kyuubi in a second (next side of village).
