If minato taps him then he wins. Odama rasengan will cause damage. even if it is slight.

sage mode fuelled rasengan caused cracks in his arm. though that might only be because of edo fragility

In theory, Minato can use the same tactic as Naruto

The Raikage goes on a rampage. His speed is on pair with his sons, but his chakra levels and durability are far above them. Minato has no chance here.

Minato is much faster than him. Not even A's maximal speed could lay a hand on him despite Bee's help. From the initial atttack, 3rd Raikage would already receive the marking. After one or repeated attacks(sharp kunais, rasengans, etc), he would realise, he can't damage him. During the battle, he would most likely notice the fire power of Raikage's nukinite.

Knowing how analytic he is, he would most likely imagine that there can't be the greatest shield and the greatest attack at the same time(one must be stronger than the other), so would probably try to redirect his attacks on him like Naruto did. If not, the only viable option he could come up with would either be summoning Gamabunta or other toads(Pa or Ma for the Gamarinsho for example) to act as a support or sealing him(Eight trigram seal but no Shiki fujin, since he doesn't want to die uselessly).

Minato has more options to win anyway and he is not the type of ninja to waste his time in fights, so Raikage outlasting him is less likely to happen especially given Minato's almost no-chakra wasted fighting style. Minato would probably find the win-scenario long before that

As I remember he barely dodged the 4th Raikage. The difference between their speed is not that significant.

No he didn't. You misinterpretated that scene like many others. Read this thread: Furthermore, 3rd Raikage's speed represent V1 Raikage's speed at most. There is still a gap in speed between a speed that even Sasuke could follow and one that blitz his Sharingan vision completely. Also, it's even already doubtful that it even reaches V1 Raikage's speed when you know that even a guy like the Rubber guy can keep up and even outspeed him

Naruto was only able to beat him because he had Dodai to feed him info, thus Naruto was able to figure out the riddle. So Minato should be able to do the same with full intel. Otherwise, if it's manga knowledge, then Minato has no way of hurting the guy.

the natural conclusion is he may lack the firepower but someone else didnt (the scar). not that he should start repelling third's attacks. why would third need nukite? he knows he cant catch minato. so minato would try frog genjutsu, because thats the strongest attack hes got

Minato wins this fight coz the 3rd has no chance of hitting him. Remember the Edo 3rd Raikage got hurt(though not severe) by the Alliance wind attack and rasenshuriken but healed quickly due to the edo tensei. So I guess consistent powerful attack like Rasengan should be the trick to defeating him since he won't be able to heal without the Edo. He eventually gets hurt to the point that he is unable to mould chakra. Victory for 4th Hokage, high difficulty

-The 3rd Raikage is no where near A's top speed. Only A's V1 speed as the whole army along with Dodai and Naruto were able to easily react to him and guard appropriately.

-Minato had time to toss a Kunai above A's head before he warped. That's not barely dodging something.
