Please stop trying to convert people

I'm all for a friendly discussion but what really annoys me is when people try to convert others.

I was raised as a Christian but when I was around 12 I didn't believe in God any more, if my religious parents couldn't get me to go to church how in the world are you going to get me to convert on an online forum?

I like reading views on different religions but don't try to shove religion down anyone's throat and if by any chance you're stupid enough (pardon the language), have the decency to use proper grammar otherwise you just come off as an idiot.


Moral of this thread:

Keep the discussions high

Keep the converting low

Do you know that countless of people have made these threads in the past and it doesn't change a thing? Sure for a month or two everything will be fine, but then an idiot (mostly a new guy) will make one and again more threads will be made. Eventually someone will make this (your thread) and........... go figure.

It's a cycle, there'll never be an end. So stop. It's pointless.

Even if they ban them there won't be stopped. More than half the people don't read the rules when they join so it won't matter if it's banned or not.
So ultimately, there are no solutions.

Actually, as an atheist, I don't mind religious people who try to convert. My understanding is that they believe their religion is the means to a happy life and eternal life after death. While I don't believe that, I appreciate that they are trying to do something that they think will benefit their fellow man. If they get too forceful, I can always ignore them.
