This is a weird post in that I'd like to address an issue I've encountered with ALLOT of girls and guys. Whenever I ask them about feminism they automatically say "I want equal rights, but i'm not a feminists." Or when I ask about gay marriage some people have said "I want gays to have equal rights, just not be able to get married." What do you guys think about Feminism and Gay rights/marriage? (I know the first couple of sentences don't have much toward the topic but I've really been bugged by these people.) I'm a feminist that's pro LGBT rights and pro-abortion. Sorry about my horrid typing ^^;

If you're wanting equal rights but not marriage, you're contradicting your views. To wish for equal rights is to want the whole package and to declare the party 100% equals with everyone else.
And this is what the majority wants: equal civil rights for everybody and to not be discriminated by any means.

I'm all about the "Non-aggression Principle". To each their own. If 2 ppl love each other and want it to be "official" then I say let 'em have it. No harm done.
There are more important things that people should be worrying about, rather than other people's romantic/love life.
Things like world hunger, the economy, our decreasing natural resources, government enforcing new laws, etc. Just my 2 cents.

They didn't choose to like the same gender. A homosexual man can not be turned on by a woman.
Abortion during the first trimester or in cases of rape or harm to the mothers life. Extreme feminism is mainly just female on man hate.

First off i would not have that particular individual weigh in on any matter with even the least significance.
He obviously doesn't know the difference between a civil union and marriage.It would of been totally fine if he didn't.
Nobody is obligated to know.However forming an opinion on a matter he knows nothing about is mind boggling.
The two do are not one in the same.A civil union is a slap in the face to every gay and lesbian couple and liberty itself.
My belief is that everyone should be treated equally in all terms.
There is reasons why some might not want to be pegged as a feminist.
Even though we have to fight for rights of certain creeds of people some still view them as something to be pitied either them or the cause itself and that is not what they want.They don't wan't pity.They don't want others to treat them any other way then others are treated.Which is is why some try to distant themselves from the stigma that comes with it.

I know plenty of feminists but only one is what I'd call insane. She told me that all men should be castrated o-o

I am not a feminist though I do support equal rights and am against sexism. I am not a feminist because that's an entirely different conversation. Feminism is more of a fight for supremacy, not equivalence. You can't tailor things towards what women want in society without devaluing men. Example being feminism's affect on some British schools where 70% of boys failed.
I fully support LGBT rights. I just disdain the level of thinking brought about by conservative and religious groups on these matters.

We really don't, seeing as how a straight person can't actually go through with psychologically-lusting for another of the same ***. The gender you want is decided from the moment you're born.
These are the 7's 8's and 9's, where they are mostly homosexual, but still decide, through themselves or forced, to mate with the opposite ***. They are deemed as "mostly-homosexual-bisexuals". The 10s are the Exclusively-Homosexual people who cannot bring themselves to lust for a member of the opposite ***.
The confusion here is whether or not it is their choice. There is no concrete, infallible proof of it being genetic, but I believe it's already been demonstrated through philosophy and through Biological means that sexuality is not a choice.

I think the right approach would be to not even post such a thread here, and if you do, then to not give a damn about the bullshit that you are going to see like "Don't they choose who to like?".
Gay men aren't attracted to all men of course. If a 'gay' man was to be attracted to a woman while still being attracted to men then he'd be bisexual.
