It's ironic........the situation that is about to arise.........
Sasuke swore vengeance upon Konoha, he also promised Naruto would be the first one he killed, before annihilating the people of the Leaf completely...........just like his own family and clan were slaughtered for their peace and well being........
And now, Sasuke is coming to the battlefield to protect what his brother tortured and ultimately sacrificed himself for................. the very people Sasuke had sworn to destroy.
We all know Sasuke's change of heart and assistance will be welcomed by Naruto and many others. In a way, Naruto will get his oldest friend back on his side. I can't wait!
On the other hand......
There is another pair of old friends and rivals who haven't met in a long............long time! The Godfathers of the current Shinobi world whose mutual respect and faith in each other paved the way for peace through a once blood splattered and war torn era.
Even though one of them detached and drifted towards a different goal from the other, they never lost the respect and admiration they had for each other.
