Yes I agree that Deidara is a bad match up for anyone due to C4, but Sasori's puppet body gives him the counter to that and Deidara pretty much admitted that Sasori is stronger. However, I believe that Deidara can take out most Kage out there. Deidara is surely top 20, probably even top 15.

But Deidera on the ground himself would give Sasori problems, not even considering if he got in the air, Sasori wouldn't stand a chance.

Don't use what Deidera said as proof, he was trying to split Kakashi and Naruto up. You even see a satisfied smug on his face afterwards.

Since I arrived on the base I've always thought:

Deidera, Sasori and Kakuzu> Itachi.

Edit: Coincidentally, all are (In a sense) immune to Genjutsu.

He is underrated by the way. Any ninja with Raiton will fodderize him before he even begins to fight. There are also a number of shinobi with Raiton. You have the Raikages, Sasuke, Kakashi, Kakuzu, Darui, Ameyuri, Omoi, Mangetsu and others. Deidara's weakness is Raiton and he will lose against anyone of these shinobi. hmm

Umm...Deidara was succumbed by for a low level Genjutsu, He still can not break Tsukuyomi, as it is casted and over in exactly 1 (one) second. There is no way that he or Kakuzu can stop it. Neither are either of them fast enough to dodge Amaterasu. Sasori until its proven that he is or is not affected by Genjutsu I do not like to use Genjutsu against him. But I can say seeing as how the SHARINGAN SEES CHAKRA, Sasori's little secret will actually be the biggest target for Itachi.

Deidara is underrated and I hate that, but he wasn't lying when he said that Sasori is stronger. To use C3 he needs to drop it at Sasori, but since Sasori can fly via Iron Sand as well that won't work. As for C4, Sasori doesn't breathe so that won't work on him.

The stuff about C4 is true, but even though he doesn't breath it could possibly still enter his body. However i'm not so sure about C3. Anyways i'm pretty sure Deidara could take out Sasori with a suicide clone or some big amounts of C2 if C3 wouldn't work. And i'm also pretty sure Deidara is slightly faster than Sasori when using his dragon, so i don't see how Sasori should be able to hit him.

And in any case he could definetly tie with Sasori using C0.
