To create this theory...well i had to do some research
Kishimoto has used names to foreshadow the future, or connect it to legends
e.g. The Sannins and the legend of the snake, slug and the frog.
sooo... i googled Rins name hoping it would give me an idea of what or if Kishimoto is foreshadowing something.
This is what came up
So i have come up with a theory
Rin was actually a bad person, like her name maybe she was cold in the inside?
What is the meaning of a cold person?
Selfish,no emotions
What if she was selling information to the mist or something?
Now Zetsu said something about Guinea pigs? Well what if Rin knew something about, orochimarus expirements or something like that.
She thought that Kakashi wouldn't kill her because of what happened with Obito, he would never kill his team mates for a mission.
Which is why she kind of looks surprised.
Just like Madara.
There are many loopholes to this theory...but i hope it gives someone an idea that could maybe progress this..
There is not a theory that has really made me say "OH THAT's VERY POSSIBLE!"
Also, i have another theory...that Rin didn't actually die there..
Madara used a genjutsu and Obito later figures out.
Rin dies later on which is why obito says "You let rin die" and not "You Killed Rin" but there is no proof in which i can further progress this theory.
Maybe Minato knows something? Which is why he's heading to the battlefield and maybe redeem Obito.
I hope this sparks some curiosities, i'd love to see more theories on Rins death, to make this Mangaless week more interesting.
