I know you guys might not like it but its the nature of every anime, The main character ia of course gonna get a super huge power thats why he is the main character.
Goku, Ichigo, Luffy (he will soon at least), Natsu.
They all start off quite normal or at least not as strong as they were in the begging. Its the nature of every anime.
People still have an equal chance to Naruto and sasuke are quite equal but thats normal their the 2 main characters is just normal that way.

no actually there are some unrealistic animes with characters that are super natural powers that are not god like by the end of the series

True a lot was ruined, the original series is why I got into Naruto, but I see none of part 1 shit now. Nowadays the chapters seem kinda boring, though last chapter was great BR0 =D

not every anime, I bet all you've watched is the long running animes (naruto, dbz, one piece etc) where as if actually watched shorter better animes then you'll see that this is not the case (code geass, durarara, cowboy bebop etc)

i feel ms was best in the hands of just 1 or 2 characters

exactly it should have been left with a few.. i honestly prefered sasuke without MS i liked all his techs and there was such versatility... however when he gained the ability to use susano that was pretty much all you saw

i personally think that past sage mode it all went a little to far -.- atleast MS and sage mode was relatively equal aswell

but i dont like how a character works so hard like rock lee and all of a sudden someone gains MS and all of a sudden out shines him


EDIT: i must also point out that even in bleach... even though the main character gets stronger... there is also a lot of character development with the other characters keeping it fair

Fairytail also isnt like this ... it is still fair for all other mages

onepiece... yes luffy got stronger... but so did everyone else in that manga

so it isnt a natural thing

another prime example is obito going against minato ... admittingly obito still lost even with the help of the ninetails and his MS however for a hokage that was deemed a prodigy without any special bloodline that worked hard aswell to get where he was to be challenged by a 16 year old kid that was only able to go against him thanks to his MS

where minato had no bloodline trait Uzumaki seals and FTG are pretty haxxed

Bleach should have ended when aisen was defeated there was no development of a real character that could do it

If u are really feeling bad just watch FMA-Brotherhood ,no power-ups,no fantasy like bringind dead back,and overall developement of characters.
But u see thats the thing,these sort of manga's theme,if not get power-ups,usually end quick but what kishi had in mind [the whole awesome plot] couldn't be wrapped in 109 chaps.
Though I agree the plot of FMA is even better

yeah you're right but the thing is this happens in most shounen jump manga's , the author introduces new characters , new powers , adds to the plot that they forget what they were originally writing , for me the Chunin exam was the best arc in the entire series , there were some really good strategies involved and not just spamming powers all over the place , right now naruto is good for the plot and not for the fighting :|

this is why I've been waiting for sasuke to get his act together , hopefully we'll see some of the awesome fighting we saw in the Zabuza\Haku fight =D

Its not the power level that has made naruto a bad anime imo
I think its all the useless flashbacks and slow pace fighting, the talk no jutsu and plot no jutsu has lowered naruto to what you guys are saying.
the power levels are just fine.

yes i agree FTG is pretty hax however he gained all his abilities by legitamitly learning them and working hard for them ... where as one day obito wakes up with the ability to use S/T jutsu SMH -.- i dont mind them having hax abilities sometimes but its the way they get them that bothers me

Granted kishi is the Writer the series has lost what made it sort of unique if i wanted to read about super op characters id read dragonball you know. Raw power is not what ninjas are about and for a "ninja" manga its not ninja like

not the type of flashbacks we see in the middle of fights or flash backs we have seen a thousand times.
So your expecting everyone to be equal in power???
