First of all, welcome back man.

Did you not forget that the 4 Hokages will be joining the battlefield? Sasuke is not going to take them down by himself. Besides, Naruto has been fighting in the war over the whole recent chapters. Sasuke showing his abilities is only going to erase the claims that he hasn't shown what he can do yet. As a matter of fact, both Naruto and Sasuke hasn't shown their full potential yet. There are several possible powers that they both haven't applied in combat.

Naruto is much stronger than Sasuke atm, that is a fact. If Naruto is going to get any more power it's to compete with the Juubi.

Naruto's rivals now are not the likes of Sasuke, it's the Juubi and the SO6P.

while thats true i dont see this manga going in that direction. its always been about encouraging yourself and others, having the strength to fight and the "will of fire" if you will.

Rare in Shounen manga. And Sasuke does not have the same importance, he was introduced to give Naruto a rival, he has the same importance as Riku from Kingdom Hearts or Raven in Zoids, or Vegeta in DBZ.

Plus Sasuke isn't really representative of the themes of the manga, nor would he be considered an acceptable role model to children.

A story where a psycho killer wins in the end and a brave good hearted hero dies, is not considered a children's manga.

The reason naruto will get the other half of the kyuubi's chakra will be to access the sage's memory and to be able to talk to the sage as half kurama naruto resembles the sage, imagine full powered kurama.

He will save these jutsu and bust them out on Naruto when the time comes
