At what point did Naruto surpass Minato?

He surpassed him when he mastered km. Whats minato going to do against 14 clones in that form he cant kill all of them.

I LOLZ! At what point did you think Naruto passed Minato? He only knows shadow clone and rasengan, a cloak and a tailed beast doesn't make you strong, yes he's strong with it but he's nothing without it, Naruto is really weak, he isn't faster i know that, maybe stronger with sage mode but we don't know if minato has sage mode or more FTG levels. This is like trying to compare sasuke genjutsu to itachi's lol yeah ik there are fanboys and main character excuse but he will never be stronger nor a greater ninja than minato.

Well there are lot of situations but mainly fight with Pain can be an example here. Plus he was also hesitant for some time in the fight with Obito and the 6 jhinchuuriki's.

Naruto doesn't always analyzes the situation instead he just goes head on but during battles you need to analyze the situation moreover one should always know one's weakness and strengths as well.

But if you think about it he always needs something to do what he does now, WSRS = SM & fox, shadow clone + rasengan = stolen scroll, speed = fox, reaction time= fox. Naruto is useless from my point of view idc if you say he was born with it or w/e else excuse you have, its not his power. Minato needed only he smartness and a cool kunai and he > the entire ninja alliance.

I'm definitely a Minato fanboy, but it doesn't take a brain to know that Naruto has Surpassed Minato.

But the thing is in Bijuu mode Naruto is a lot faster. If he has not surpassed Minato in speed then he has matched him.
Naruto has the upper hand in speed actually since he does not need to use shurikens or seals to be that fast, compared to the Fourth.

Considering that KCM Naruto can make 13 KCM clones its safe to say that his overall battle capacity surpasses that of Minato.

He only had better Rasengan (which he couldnt use either way), but thats it. Pre SM Naruto was a joke compared to his old man.

All depends on what you mean.

He has surpassed him in stages when you think about it. The first time was when he was able to add chakra nature to his Rasengan... something Minato had failed to do. Hell, the kid even made variations of the jutsu.

I honestly think he truly surpassed Minato though when he dodged Ay. However it isn't unreasonable for those to say that he surpassed him when he perfected Sage Mode.
