I'm having a hard time deciding on exactly which video capture program to invest in. Fraps is quite popular ive noticed and was just curious if anyone could reccommend something different with a reasonable amount of feedback. I'd greatly appreciate it.

Fraps? Fraps can record at 720p
What exactly are you planning on recording, that requires a greater detail than 720p?

I use Fraps for the few times i ever actually need to record anything.
Seems stupid getting something better, which is more awkward to use.
When Fraps does the job perfectly...

Primarily just gameplay videos from the PC, maybe consoles, but that's to be decided. As I said, Fraps is a popular choice, and I was just curious if anyone could reccommend something different. Though it seems I might just go with the masses regardless.

There is plenty of other thinks you could use. But considering fraps is free, and most others cost money (but give roughly the same outcome), seems pointless using something else..

Well, there is EZvid, which has been featured in several articles about it. And I had a friend who used Fraps as a free version and it didn't really do much for him, like 30 seconds of video. That's about it.

Fraps indeed if you need to record gameplays, tutorials etc. i reccomand Fraps itz the best a man can get
