Just curious, I agree with that point seeing as Minato's speed is instantaneous. And Sasuke beat a young Naruto who wasn't going for the kill, don't compare the two.

I think all of these moments everyone's mentioned are all times in which Naruto could've surpassed Minato. But, I'd like to think it began with Rasen-Shuriken. When he added wind to Rasengan, he created a new ultimate technique, something that Minato didn't get a chance to do.

When did he surpass Minato?



I believe KCM Naruto had surpassed Minato for he gained speed on a comparable level to Minato's instantaneous FTG speed. He had also been proclaimed as the savior of the Shinobi world right about then, something Minato was said to be but died.

Good questions! I would have to say when Fukasaku first said it. When 'A' says it, it's more of a reiteration of Kishimoto to his readers, I suppose. That, and everyone has their own opinions concerning the abilities of ninja.

He owned a jouunin/anbu and another anbu and a chuunin and one gennin and surpressed the fox.
Kishi made them to compare.
Kishi stated that Minato is the fastest in Naruto.

Useless advantage? If you can move faster than a person can think and have a killing tool, you wouldn't even need power what does Naruto have of his own, not the fox (btw minato has the fox also :3) but he doesn't need it.

But if you think about it he always needs something to do what he does now, WSRS = SM & fox, shadow clone + rasengan = stolen scroll, speed = fox, reaction time= fox. Naruto is useless from my point of view idc if you say he was born with it or w/e else excuse you have, its not his power. Minato needed only he smartness and a cool kunai and he > the entire ninja alliance.

I think Fukasaku was comparing their level in Sage Mode(yes i believe Minato had Sage Mode). Either that or a misconception/translation. It would make no sense that Kishi said he surpassed him overall at that moment if even until now he still compares Naruto to Minato. When Naruto was said to be equal or surpass Kakashi, Kishi didn't compare Naruto to Kakashi anymore, but since then, he still continues to compare Naruto to his father, which would make no sense if he really surpassed him at that moment. In that same arc, Minato was even said that there is a ninja more of a threat than Pain(the one Naruto was fighting), and he is the one who fought and bested that man. It was clearly implied Minato was still above him, but Naruto would have to work hard and surpass him

Yamato for example said KM wasn't on Minato's level. Raikage after observing KM Naruto said he thought no one could surpass Minato, even regretting why he wasn't there(so he thought Minato was stronger than Naruto). Kakashi again compared Naruto to Minato when he throwed away the TBB, and again recently, Kyubi again compared Naruto to Minato when he said he surpassed him in chakra control, and even now, Minato still thinks about giving a new power to Naruto as if Naruto still has things to learn

FTG isn't even Minato's original technique, it was the Second's, Naruto isn't faster overall because you cant outspeed teleportation but in terms of foot speed, which is much more versatile, he is definitely faster
