Literally having this thought in the back of my head.

What if Orochimaru attacked the Leaf Village in order to make it stronger? What kind of effect that would bring?

The forth generation knew nothing of war and it's agony. Orochimaru used whatever means to rid of the peace ridden village that has clouded many people.

You seen how the Third Hokage was running the village and how he lost control. Something needed to happen in order to maintain balance of power or to stir up mayhem so to speak.

His intentions of bring chaos is questionable. You don't know exactly why he chose to attack the leaf. You can't say his goals are fixated on mastering jutsu through questionable means by the death of his parents.

Does this make sense?

That's like saying racist comments aren't racist......
Or that Adolf hitler was a good man......
the two things don't go together.....

OT: that would be an interesting plot twist, but somehow I don't see it....

So you disregard what I just said. That Orochimaru may have intended to bring peace?

Yeah love the comparison.
Orochimaru = Nazi :|
Really smart there.

if he did, he did it in a round-about way..... Not really the way to show you mean good.... was hitler doing what was best for the world? Not in my eyes... In his eyes, yes.....

But then again, Itachi did play the role of the villain to protect the village....
I just think that it would be too unlike Kishimoto to repeat similar ideas in the same manga.....
If he used the pretend bad guy = good guy, then what are Obito and Madara?? I don't see him converting Oro.... He was a hardcore badass villain, and now he's a hardcore badass hero....

Lol..,. didn't mean to make the Oro = Nazi connection :|

He attacked Konoha because he was feeling hatred to it all the time. Actually, he hated Hiruzen, the 3rd Hokage because he didn't choose him to be the Hokage, imo.

I can see how you think this, seeing as how he seems to have changed in the recent manga. However we've seen plenty of orochimaru scenes in 1st part of the naruto anime and it doesn't seem that he ever really contemplated any residual feelings for the leaf. It would have been hinted at even if just a little. You can take Sasukes resolve for example he wanted to destroy the leaf because of his brothers sacrifice, and there was no falter in his resolution.....until he met Itachi again and made him ponder his actions

I agree. Orochimaru is no where near Hitler's level of inteligence.

He intended to destroy Konoha...

Easily said.

He also abducted villagers and performed experiments on them.

And by attacking Konoha along with Sunagakure, he weakened it's military potential....

I mean Itachi massacred the Uchiha clan to stop a 4th world war.

Orochimaru could have done the same thing had he been successful.

He had no good intension behind his attack, he did out of evil will.
The last chapter shows that oro was truelly previously evil until he looked inside kabuto mindand discovered that he was wrong

Yea, all he wanted was revenge on the third, and to make the others suffer for not supporting him. No way that leads to peace or helping out the village in any form. Now he might realize it was a mistake and regret it, but can't see him having the village's well being in mind when he attacked. That was purely out of revenge.
