Japanese culture is just as different from ours as English is different than Japanese. Especially in the setting of this series, which is almost entirely more traditional. By that, I mean the overall hierarchy in families, clans, villages, etc. It isn't the same as the lifestyle in Japan at this time. That, of course, is much more casual, and lacks a lot of the traditional of the previous few hundred years. While it might be normal for a guy in Japan to call somebody's father their "dad", or "papa", it wasn't like that in the previous eras. Ancestry is one of the absolute, honor divining trait in traditional Japanese setting. Even if your dad was a nice guy, and liked to play with his son, and not beat him,; in any social setting, the honorifics would still be used. He would be his father's "descendent", not his son. Especially during a time where it was quite obvious, and usually didn't require any specifications.
So, you are absolutely, 100% incorrect with this joke of a thread. Well, you're right in that the exact translation would be "descendent", and not "father", but wrong to say that's proof that he is not Shisui's father. He absolutely is. To anybody possessing the very basic understanding of another language, and culture, they'd say the exact same thing that I am. Sure, there's a VERY off chance that he isn't Shisui's father, if you want to argue semantics. Which, you apparently do. Which is why I just embarrassed you so badly. If you want to have a real, intellectual discussion, leave out the attitude, and make sure you have at least a basic understanding on the topic. If you don't, smarter people than you (much like myself) will continue to embarrass you, in public. It's difficult for people to say that somebody is intelligent when they get so ripped apart at a debate he started. Granted, you're slightly more intelligent than the average member on these forums, which is why so many people thanked you for providing really poor, borderline FALSE information. Not everybody is that simple, however. It's easy to look smart here. If they see you as smart, then they must see me as a ****ing genius, of epic proportions. Which I am not, and I am not even claiming to be. I am, however, much more well infor,end on this particular topic than you are.
