It was due to people like Sai's brother, Kabuto, Kabuto's mother, Sasuke Sarutobi, The White fang and many other unmentioned names that the leaf was protected.

And also, life = Life. You don't have the right to decide which is a better life. There is always a peaceful solution. Should read some gandhi or other books on peace.

Danzo was fine with the village getting destroyed so idk why your here making him a savior or something due to what he realized on his death bed.

And no it is not Ok. The village Hidden in the Leaf was founded on the basis of Will of Fire. If the Hokage cannot stand up for his own people and acts like a hypocrite giving into the demands of a youngling then it cannot be helped but said that he was no following the basis Konoha was founded on.

What Danzo did was divert a peace negotiation that Yahiko was going to make and made the war longer.

Actually The hokages do have the right to decide what life is better, Shinobis must give their lives at any given moment to protect their village/Family and friends. People become shinobi knowing this.

And also, like i said Shinobi deserve the credit for keeping the village a victor , not people like Danzo... whose only defense against the village in his adult life was his action at his death time. And also Hiruzen did not step up, he acted like Chamberlain who appeased to Hitler. Unlike Churchill who outright said no I will not give into your demands. I'm judging Hiruzen as a Hokage, it is the Hokage's duty to protect the people, that includes every single shinobi under his command. Hizashi is the one who gets the credit for avoiding Kumo. Hiruzen was the "God of Shinobi" yet he couldn't make peace?

Uchiha clan evil for demanding rights? ok. The guy you keep defending with all this "protect the village" crap Danzo said it didn't matter if there was a civil war or not. He was still going to kill the Uchiha if they tried to go after political power.

YOU seem to think the world isn't black and white, when in realty it is. There is the oppressed and then there is the oppressors. There are the ones used and the ones who use. There are ciminals and then there are non-criminals. Point of Naruto is to make the Shinobi world into sunshines and ponies.

Orochimaru never went out for a full attack. And Tsunade was betrayed by her own ninja (Danzo and the ROOT). Also, Jiraiya came in to stop some of the sand shinobi.

Leaf wasn't destroyed due to Orochimaru's foolishness =D. 2 world wars occured under his reign. the Rain country destroyed. Yet he spoke about peace.

Say what you will, He still failed to destroy the leaf.

So what, You expect hiruzen to sit back while being in the middle of two world wars and not protect himself or his village?. It was fight or be destroyed, Even the most peaceful people will fight if they have no other choice.

Hashirama fought in wars, Most likely killed many enemies/uchiha during his time, Yet i don't see you blame hashi for that even though he spoke of peace also.

Hiruzen did protect the People by preventing the war.

He has a duty to protect the people, But he has also has a duty to protect the village.

All shinobi are criminals in a sense, They almost all Murder/Lie/Cheat/Steal.

How many people did hashirama have to kill (murder) to achieve his dream i wonder.

And also, only 3 Hokages have summonings , Tsunade, Hiruzen, Minato. The First Hokage does not and the second.


Tsunade is a better Hokage then even Hiruzen.

She HAS the Will of Fire. And I think EVERY ninja from Konoha has the WoF. It's not her duty to teach the 5 years old kids what is the will of fire. That's Iruka's 'job'.
