Will new Saga of DBZ render GT as canon?

For all of you DBZ fans, you all probably know that Goku achieves a new level of Super Saiyan, Super Saiyan God. Vegeta unfortunately did not reach that level.. yet!

Akira and producers have promised fans that Vegeta will go SS God in next movie, but the movie is scheduled for April 2014, why so late?

There's going to be a new series! Rumours from fans and riddled answers from Akira have hinted it, here's the link of Akira's response:

Akira says he hates 'inking' which means he most likely will not write the manga, however.. When producers begged him to continue the series he answered with "I love coming up with stories" this means that they have already started plans. Akira wouldn't lie would he? He could have easily said "I will not continue the series" why did he answer with such a clever response?

You be the judge of that...

But there's going to be a level that is past SSJG and SSJ4 wouldn't that make GT canon since they didn't show any levels like that in GT?

Gt isn't canon because toriyama didn't have anything to do with it, think of it like one big filler like the ones in naruto. From the looks of it it could be possible that this new series will be over before the final episode of Z, there's still 5 years after goku vs'd bills but just a guess.

I don't care what they do, as long as Gohan gets put back in the spotlight at some point. Goku even said it hiself in the Buu Saga that Gohan was stronger than his ssj3. I know Goku can go ssjg now but i'd love to see it happen to Gohan or some major growth in his power level.

No gt isn't canon at all. The new movie was canon because Toriyama wrote the storyline. The movie disproved gt all the way because it eliminated super saiyan 4

it doesnt matter what akira toriyama says he sold the anime rights away all he owns is the name when it comes to the anime

my point still is where fillers are filler they still operate in the same limitations of the the series

regardless you can look at ss4

but movies are non canon period end of story so is gt

SSG does not exist in DBZVerse just as much as SS4 doesnt
