no it's not, but FTG is based on reverse summoning. summoning, reverse summoning, FTG and Kamui are all S/T jutsu, jus the first 3 are closely related.
FTG isn't based on reverse summoning. That's a misconception. They are only comparable since both are Space time techniques, like it's also comparable to Obito's Kamui, but they are not based on the same thing

Minato makes his tag reverse summon himself when Minato wishes, that's how FTG works, which is the same logic as reverse summoning. a summoning requires 2 parts, one being the person(in FTG's case, the tag) who performs the summoning jutsu, the other being the object or person being summoned to the specific location, which is exactly how FTG works. Kamui is more advanced it actually involves 2 dimensions, they aren't the same.

Manga proof of what you are saying concerning FTG?

don't have anything specific, just it makes sense logically to me
Then it's just a speculation. So far i've seen(manga or databooks), it says that the "jutsu shiki"(markings) we find on kunais or something else are only there as a destination mark for Minato's teleportation technique. In fact it only helps Minato to find the correct exit when he enters the dimensional void during the jutsu. It's how i understood it anyway

unlike Kamui users, Minato isn't able to stay in that "dimensional void" you call, so he can only "enter it" whenever a "destination mark" calls him. which is the same as reverse summmoning.

It's not the destination mark that calls him, but him who goes to the destination mark by entering thru a dimensional void

well that's very close to what I'm trying to say, Minato makes the destination mark call him, then he enters a dimensional void to get to the destination mark, it's still the same as summoning, summoning enters a dimensional void as well that's how they travel so much distance in one moment.
Minato can't enter the void then decide which destination he wants, because he can't stay in there, so the destination is decided before he enters the void.

Yes he can, and that is proven thru his S/T barrier. He warped Kyubi's TBB away(in the dimensional void) before thinking about where to redirect it:

Using the seal implemented on his Flying Thunder God Kunai, Minato can form a barrier that will teleport away incoming attacks directed at it. He can divert away attacks as large and powerful as a Tailed Beast Ball from the Nine-Tailed Demon Fox. Once the attack is warped away, Minato has to direct it to another location.

the fact he had to choose a destination proves that the TBB can't stay in that dimension, he didn't contain the TBB in the void, but instead the TBB enters the S/T barrier and exits at the destination mark, the TBB stayed in the real world dimension the entire time.

Never said he could stay in the dimensional void. I said he can decide where to appear or make things appear among the exit markings when he is inside the dimensional void, which proves he can change his final destination even when he starts a warping, even when he is already inside the dimensional void, that also shows that the markings are not calling him like you say, but he is the one who actually decides where to go

the scan u provided never showed Minato decided the destination after he warped the TBB, in fact if you agree that TBB can't stay in the void, then the moment the TBB enters the barrier, Minato has to pick the destination mark, the part of TBB we don't see in the panel should be existing somewhere around the destination mark.

On the pic we clearly see 3panels where the TBB is about to be completely warp in the dimensional void, then Minato says he has to pick a safe place to let that huge blast detonate. Since he says he has to pick a place, it means, he didn't pick it already, and at the moment he said that, the blast was already inside the dimension, which shows he can decide the exit of a warping even when he is already starting to warp, even when he or something else is already entering/inside the dimensional void

actually that's not the Japanese translation I read, he actually says something like "such amazing detonating power, gotta make sure I pick a safe place"
which means the comment comes after seeing the blast, I was trying to find original Japanese version but I can't find it for now.

I've seen people say that Minato can run circles around his opponent for days. Many people and some certain people seem to not know that ftg has a limit.

You must be registered for see images

The above proves that the stronger than thing you want to summon, the more chakra it takes.

What people don't realize is that FTG is a form of summoning jutsu. For Minato to reverse summon a top tier shinobi such as himself takes up a lot more chakra than most people seem to think.

When we look at Minato's chakra levels, his ftg limit is like 20-30.

But now that Minato is edo, he doesn't need to worry about chakra levels. But he will still be limited to the amount of kunai he has,
unlike Tobirama.
LOL. It's looks like computing is out of your reach..ehhh...I'll show you how to compute Minato's chakra...Be ready!!

We know that Minato was able to teleport Kurama, right? Teleporting something depends on how big it is.

Let's say that teleporting Kuruma takes 50 percent of his chakra and Kurama is 100 times bigger than a human, then Minato can teleport a human 200 times before he will be exhausted. This is basic computing but it looks like you don't know it so here...

When we look at Minato's chakra levels, his ftg limit is like 20-30
x = Kurama
y = shinobi
z = Minato

z = X
x = 100y
z = 100y (just only 50%)

Get it now? Underestimating Minato too much...

But now that Minato is edo, he doesn't need to worry about chakra levels. But he will still be limited to the amount of kunai he has
Until now you don't know what so special with his Kunai. It's the seal..It's the seal..he can place seals everywhere..If he can hold something that he can throw like a rock then he can use that...why are you limiting his FTG skill to a kunai only? Are you a hater or you are just too dumb to know what you read? which is which? Just admit that you are a hater. It's so insulting for you to admit that you are dumb...LOL

FTG has no limit....
tobirama's s/t had the limit of maybe 20-30 times a day.....because it consumed chakra like what you've said...
however, minato improved the s/t tech using seals, due to which, hardly any chakra was utilised for teleportation......which makes it easy to spam FTG...
remember, when minato blitz'd the entire army during 3rd ninja war, he'd have to use FTG for EVERY enemy ninja... & certainly there were hundreds of them, so he used FTG that many times......
