You release the needles from the spinning umbrella that you have on you somewhere. If I remember correctly, some shinobi used this in the Chunin Exam, Forest of Death round.

Retrieving an umbrella, I toss it in the air and then immediately, I concentrate my chakra to it's utmost limits and then use shape manipulation to convert it into thin sharp nails, upon this motion, I expel waves of these objects, whilst being able to manipulate it's sense of direction via the sway of the umbrella. It would be extremely useful, due to the large amounts of nails launched via this method.

Well you can combine it with any efficient lightning jutsu, as it is able to destory earth's structure and also shield it's appearing with's it's yellowy colour. Earth is in my opinion, is the potentially the most dangerous element against the nails, acting as a solid shield, therefore that is my reason for why lightning would be the best tactic to get around it.

Description: Calling upon a swarm of crows, they will fly around the target, causing confusion with their dark forms and quick movement. With the target distracted by the crows, the ninja can strike more easily. Also the mass of crows can obscure any retreating ninja. When no longer needed, the murder of crows will simply puff away in smoke.

So this is a mix of summoning technique + ninjutsu. The crows will distract or annoy your enemy leaving you open to strike. And no, you don't need to know the Crow contract.

Description: A summoning technique meant almost exclusively for weapon's experts. To begin, the shinobi will remove two scrolls and set them on the ground, after forming the necessary hand seals, the two scroll rise into the air and begin to swirl around a middle vortex that is the user. They then use this space to launch themselves into the air between the spinning scrolls. From these scrolls the ninja can then summon a mass of weapons, which they then begin to throw at their opponent. If the first barrage fails, they can use wires that run from each weapon to their fingertips to pull them back into the air to strike at their opponent again.

I then throw these projectiles in a fashion thats allows them to encircle my presence in a hovering manner, which I then stabilise in the spot via precise chakra control, I then maneouvre my hands to manipulate this string of weapons and then launch at my opponent, these are launched almost simultaneously to the naked eye. This jutsu is extremely helpful, compared to other relative techniques within this rank, as the weapons are launched instantly after the other, making them difficult to avoid. In combination with gushing water, which would trap the opponent, you have a great combo, as the opponent is unable to react to your moves.
