Intro:This is just a theory, but I find it really interesting and I wanted to share it with all of you guys here. There's a possibility I may be wrong, so feel free to refute me if you want, but refrain from negging, trolling or flaming here.

Origin of Rikudou Sennin:
From what we've learned, the Senju and Uzumaki clans were distantly related, and the Uchiha and Hyuga clans may have been too, as they are the only two non-filler clans to have inherited Rikudou Sennin's ocular powers, and that Rikudou Sennin was the ancestor of both Senju and Uchiha.

But then, where did Rikudou come from?

My belief is that the Rikudou Sennin had been both an Uzumaki and a Hyuga, by birth. Why? It's simple.

Only the Senju and Uchiha clans have been specifically stated to have descended from Rikudou's bloodline. Not Uzumaki or Hyuga. Tobi clearly stated the never-ending battle between the elder son and younger son's bloodlines transformed into full-fledged combat between Senju and Uchiha.

Never once did Tobi even mention Uzumaki and Hyuga being involved there, or even being descended from either of the sons. Which indicates that they may be related to Senju and/or Uchiha more because of their connection to the Sennin, than his sons. They didn't descend from his sons.

More likely is the idea that it was Rikudou who descended from Uzumaki and Hyuga. I will elaborate even more from here on, too.

According to Kushina and Kakashi respectively, both of who have powers from said clans, Uzumaki and Hyuga are distantly related to Senju and Uchiha, and according to Tobi, they didn't descend from Rikudou, but Senju and Uchiha did. Putting both ideas together, it seems likely for Uzumaki and Hyuga to be the ancestral clans.

Another interesting thing is that whereas the Sharingan, Mangekyo Sharingan and Rinnegan all have interesting patterns and colors, the Byakugan are nothing more than white eyes - nothing more and nothing less. You could call them a 'blank slate' dojutsu, and that's what convinces me that they were the original dojutsu.

Who were known for having the Byakugan? That's right, the Hyuga. The Hyuga, who, like Rikudou Sennin, seemed to predate the Uchiha clan. I don't think Kakashi is so stupid as to go on mere hearsay and information, in fact, he recently turned out to be quite correct in saying that the Rinnegan was a mutation.

We also know that the Rikudou Sennin was highly proficient in Fuinjutsu, enough to seal the entire Juubi into his own body, when even guys like Minato struggle sealing just half of Kurama's chakra into his own body. Hell, Rikudou is the one who invented the whole process of sealing tailed beasts into Jinchuriki.

Who else were known for being highly skilled in Fuinjutsu, enough to seal tailed beasts into their own bodies, while also being capable of maintaining the beasts inside their own bodies with zero ill effect? That's right, that's the Uzumaki clan. Not the Senju, the Uchiha or the Hyuga.

Only the Uzumaki.

Rikudou Sennin is the first person in history to not only become a Jinchuriki, but also create Fuinjutsu on a level enough to contain the Juubi (amalgamation of Kurama and several other beasts) inside his own body and by proxy, create the process of sealong beasts into ninja for the production of Jinchuriki.

Ironically enough, all three hosts of Kurama (largest chunk of Juubi's power and chakra) were the Uzumaki clan, and one of them (Mito) even sealed Kurama into her own body, just like Rikudou sealed the Juubi into his own body. I don't need to mention that Naruto's new chakra shroud resembles Rikudou too.

I think it's fairly obvious that Rikudou could easily have been an Uzumaki, once we have taken all of this into account. Next, this brings up the question: how did Rikudou Sennin gain the Rinnegan? Uzumaki don't have special eyes, that is correct, but then again, if he was part Hyuga, it makes sense again.

The Hyuga are known for having a dojutsu that predates the Sharingan, according to Kakashi (and I think he'd know, due to his high level of intelligence and knowledge about things, and being a dojutsu user himself, at that). They were also implied to be distantly related to the Uchiha, like Uzumaki was to Senju.

So far, the Byakugan have seemed to be the weakest eyes by far, evidenced by Byakugan-user Neji being easily one-shotted by KN0 Naruto, but a Sasuke relying on a fully mature Sharingan managed to completely own an even stronger form of that same Naruto later on. And it's just a complete blank in design.

They are just pure white. No tomoe or spirals or anything. Seems like a 'blank slate' dojutsu compared to the others. Since Byakugan is decidedly inferior to the other eyes in terms of granted power, and looks completely bland and blank, implies that it is the most primitive form of dojutsu.

All of this implies that the Byakugan came first. Evolution implies getting stronger or more better - and thus, it wouldn't make sense for Byakugan to have originated from Rinnegan or Sharingan, as that would suggest it having evolved (there is no such as thing as de-evolution), and it is clearly inferior to the other eyes by far.

Yes, the Byakugan has some useful abilities that neither the Sharingan nor the Rinnegan have. But in terms of combat, the latter two are superior by far in the manga. Also, it makes more sense for the blank white Byakugan to evolve into the coloured and distinct Sharingan and Rinnegan, than the other way around.

So that begs the question: if the Rikudou Sennin was both an Uzumaki and a Hyuga, should he not have gained the Byakugan instead of the Rinnegan? That's the interesting part. While it's just a theory, I believe Rikudou did originally have the Byakugan, but it evolved into the Rinnegan due to his Uzumaki DNA.

The Uzumaki clan's symbol is that of a whirlpool. The Rinnegan concentric circle patterns resemble a whirlpool. This symbolism, combined with the idea of an Uzumaki-Hyuga eye mutation, should lead some credence to the idea of Rinnegan being a result of the fusion of Uzumaki and Hyuga powers.

One theory that some may use to refute mine, is that Rikudou's eyes came from possessing the Juubi, but this is actually rather unlikely to be true, it's been implied several times that Rikudou's eyes were always his to begin with and didn't really have anything to do with the Juubi at all.

Origin of the Juubi:
Now this is a really crazy theory, and as far-out as it sounds, I think the Juubi may have originally been a human at one point. And I think the Juubi may have been a human close to Rikudou Sennin. In fact, I think it was the Rikudou's brother, probably his older brother even. See where I'm getting? And now I will elaborate.

We know that both Rikudou Sennin and the Juubi had the special eyes, yet no one, not even Tobi, implied that Rikudou only gained the eyes after fighting and sealing the Juubi into his own body. Which means that both of them had the special eyes around the same time. But how could this be, if they weren't related?

Also, don't people find the idea of a Rinnegan-less Rikudou facing the superpowered eyed Juubi unbelievable? It's already hard to believe that he actually managed to beat and seal the thing in the first place even with the Rinnegan, much less without it. Everything taken into account, Rikudou's eyes were his own.

They did not come from the Juubi's, most likely.

That is why I believe Rikudou Sennin and Human Juubi came from the same blood and were likely brothers. That also can explain why the Juubi, like Rikudou, had a unique eye that, too, seems to predate the Sharingan. And there has been a constant theme of brother-vs-brother in the manga so far and so long.

We have already heard that the Rikudou Sennin's elder son had become corrupted by his hatred and jealousy, causing him to clash with his younger brother, and their clans to fight as mortal enemies from there on. I wouldn't be surprised if all this stemmed from the original bro-fight: Rikudou vs Juubi.

From what we've seen and heard of Sasuke (and even Madara), they become completely corrupted by their hatred and malice, to the point they are willing to even kill their own comrades and dear friends without a second thought (e.g. Karin and Kakashi for Sasuke and people like Izuna for Madara).

Even Kurama admits that Sasuke's chakra is fouler than his own, and according to Fukasaku, Kurama's chakra used to be so foul, to begin with, because of his enormous hatred, which many Uchiha have in spades, and two of which surpass even the Fox in. There is also clear proof of this in the latest chapter.

I believe that Juubi became the monster he is, because he was likely consumed by all the hatred and evil surrounding him in his time, just like Sasuke, Madara and even Kurama, which turned his chakra into something completely evil, which in turn somehow began to physically affect him and turn him into monster.

As for the idea of a human transforming into a complete monster, though? At first it sounds incredibly bizarre - but if you think about it, not necessarily. Kabuto and Orochimaru transformed from regular humans into nearly immortal snake-like monsters. Kisame is a shark-man. Zetsu is a plant-man.

Zetsu isn't a man...

Orochomaru and Kabuto performed several experiments and surgeries on themselves and I am pretty sure that there was no such thing during the SO6P era.

I don't know about Kisame. He had that shark like face even before he acquired the Samehada.
