Itachi has Visual genjutus that can potentially "one shot " Minato if he makes eye contact (Tsukyomi) , he has non visual genjutsu that also doesn't require handseals.. that can render minato immobile, if only for a few seconds, to then use totsuka sword... He has amaterasu... flames that can't be put out.. that would be impossible for Minato to dodge/avoid without looking at his eyes for presigns and obviously previous knowledge of the ability....

An interesting point of view you have there.

here`s mine:
-itachi either oneshots minato with tsukuyomi because the eye contact can be so easily to make
-minato doesnt look in itachi`s eyes,so his look is diverted to the lower parts of itachi`s body....so itachi uses his finger genjutsu(even if minato attacks sooner itachi can protect himself with susanoo),renders minato immovable and totsuka sword in the belly.
-if minato doesnt look in itachi`s eyes then he cant possibly know where the flames of amaterasu will manifest...so he could potentially be struck with amaterasu...

all in all itachi has some serious advantages on his side and this duel would finish quickly so there goes your stamina argument :win:

In my opinion, Minato = Itachi.

Both of them are fully capable of killing each other in a split-second. It's down to whoever reacts the fastest, or who has the better tactics.
Both characters have their weaknesses, and that can be exploited quite easily. Itachi's low stamina would allow Minato to win via sheer endurance. Likewise, Itachi can probably deflect Minato's FTG and render his attacks useless if he is able to use Susano'o.

They both are really great, and are top 15 shinobi.

Minato >= Itachi as of right now.

REASONS WHY?

Minato has the stamina to last the fight.
Itachis only thing he has is susanoo because genjutsu and amaterasu are useless against minatos speed.
Minato can run circles around Itachi until he looses strength to carry on.
Plus Minato has FTG, RDS, Also has the Toads
I am not a Fanboy(I know you think I am) but it is true.
Both of these two are my fav charcters unfortunately Itachis stamina makes him just under Minato

DONT GET MAD ITS MY POINT OF VIEW(JUST GOES OUT TO ALL THEM ITACHI FANBOYS)
THINK BEFORE YOU COMMENT

Even though i think minato>itachi, the bolded part is wrong.
Itachi has used more than those techniques,a nd would use more if necessary: shurikenjustu and suiton were the others he used.
Itachi has crow summoning too, so summoning the boss toad is futile ( especially when he can amatersu them like he did to nagato).

Like how you commented with a reason and not say stuff like "your wrong", "your an idiot" etc.

Nice arguement
Love the sig
Yes Itachi has genjutsu on his side
But genjutsu can be countered with the help of summonings(dont forget ma and pa)
Much like itachis susanoo minato has RDS
Amaterasu vs FTG there pretty even saying that Itachi cant amaterasu Minato too much before he tires out.
Minato still has the upper edge though

I'm an Itachi fan but hey you can't really count Minato out.. who knows there might be more techs he has up his sleeve.. Just wait till Minato shows more feats until then I say Itachi>Minato.
