No way is Sasuke deciding to "defend" the village....what he said was "I won't let my Brother's life and the village perish like some after thought" very carefully worded isn't it?
Pretty obvious what this means, those that think this means, "Oh he has turned good" are idiots.
What do ninja's do? Yep deceive people....
What it means is that if everything is consumed by Infinite Tsukuyomi his revenge will be meaningless as well, everything that has ever happened will be meaningless, His brothers life, what was asked of his loyalty and the villages transgressions. Sasuke is more arrogant and selfish than that, he wants the revenge to mean something, to last in peoples minds not be wiped away by universal dream land...
Hence of course villains and heroes alike will rise up against Madara. For example Orochimaru, he doesn't want to be caught in a universal genjutsu he can't escape...but its not like he will decide "Oh I was wrong all this time oooh darn, I'll defend the village now" lol not to mention he is probably after Obito's body which he saw through Kabuto's eyes.
