My thoughts on chapter 627... (and why Sasuke's decision is poorly handled)
First of all I want to say sorry for my behaviour yesterday. I made like 7-8 threads with complaints about chapter 627. That was not necessary. But in this thread I will give my full thoughts about chapter 627 and why I think Sasuke's desicion to go to the battlefield is poorly handled and too soon. I will do this in several points. Please show respect and only react when you have read all of this. This is a very serious thread. Yes, me, being serious. =D This can be a very interesting topic, where some things can be cleared out.
Let me start with the positive stuff from chapter 627:
There were few things in this chapter I liked a lot...
- It is now clear that Tobirama was the realistic dude in his era. He was no racist, like some people here claimed.
- Orochimaru laughing with Hiruzen why he didn't choose him as Hokage, haha, Seigutsu reaction was funny too.
- Minato's face when he is thinking about his son, Naruto. That happy expression, and what will his gift be? I think it's the other half from Kurama's chakra (Bijuu Sage Mode Naruto upcomming, insanely). Anyway, that panel is awesome. You can really see the father in Minato.
- The last 2 pages are just epic, I think everyone agree with that. The previous BEAST Hokages all on there statue, ready to go to war.
I like these 4 things about last chapter a lot. Sadly, you can count it too, it are anly 4 points... Normally I have a lot of more positive points after a chapter, truly.
So let me now start with the stuff I do not like...:
Why I think Sasuke's redemption is badly handled, will be my last and biggest point...
- Seigutsu acting like a coward all of the sudden... Sorry, this is not funny, it's actually making fun of this character. It's like all of the sudden he ain't a loyal member of team Taka anymore...
- All the Hokages saying they failed, except for Tobirama who is the only one who keeps his coolness. First we have Hashirama saying he failed, after it Hiruzen and then even Minato. This all in favour of Itachi-wank, and don't ignore this. Because this WHOLE chapter is one big Itachi-wank fest. Everyone saying he failed, and then everyone agreeing on the fact Itachi was the one who had the true Will of Fire. Look, I know many people here are Itachi-fans, and to be honest, I think Itachi is cool too, but c'monn... Admit it, Kishimoto needs to calm down with this character. As far as I know, this manga is not called Itachi. I have never seen some writer wank about a character this much in my entire life, and I've read a LOT of mangas.
- Orochimaru acting like a Sasuke-fan all of the sudden. His reason 'I realised Kabuto was imitating me, Sasuke did not' is complete bullshit. I hope Orochimaru has someting in mind, I won't mind if he becomes Final Villain or something. I mean, this dude was till now the only TRUE villain, he was psycho. Don't ruin this character now by turning him into a good guy all of the sudden too. That would be ridiculous.
- Karin... Oh Karin... I am sorry for the 'Sasuke x Karin shippers', but f*ck... What the hell is wrong with this girl? She is even more annoying then Sakura when it comes to Sasuke. I mean, the dude just tried to kill ya, and you are already acting like that... It would have been better if it took you a while to forgive Sasuke, but no, Kishimoto decided Sasuke needs another fangirl. Like Sakura alone is not enough...
- So we have Sasuke standing in front of the Hokages. YET, KISHIMOTO DECIDED TO LET HIM TALK ALONE WITH HASHIRAMA and a little bit with Hiruzen and Tobirama. What a wasted chance! Sasuke talking to Minato could have been so interesting. Just imagine it, Sasuke hearing from Minato that Naruto is his son... It would have been freaking epic. But no, Kishimoto is rushing things up, it seems he wants to end this manga faster and faster... What a missed chance.
And now my biggest negative point, about Sasuke's decision to chance minds all of the sudden...:
First of all I want to make clear I have no problem with Sasuke being a good guy again. I mean, that is the whole point, right? But I HAVE A BIG PROBLEM with the fact he changed minds SO FAST after hearing Hashirama's fairy Tail. In fact, it is funny. Hashirama told about his and Madara's past, but that has nothing to do with Sasuke's descision to go to the battlefield, haha. It is all about Itachi. He doesn't want his brother's wish to go in vain... But now comes the hilarious part. SASUKE ALREADY KNEW THAT. I mean, didn't Obito and Edo Itachi themself already said what happened and what Itachi did. So in fact, this makes Sasuke's sudden decision incredibly unbelievable.
For years he listened to no one, for years he tried to kill his (best) friends, he tried to kill Kages and so on and on. Yet, now everything changes in like 2 minutes..............
But there is more. Kishimoto wrote more then 350 build-up chapters and hyped the Naruto vs Sasuke fight so much, and now it seems it isn't Naruto who saves Sasuke? Well, this is f*cking up your own manga, Kishimoto, seriously.
This is why I still hope that Madara will make Sasuke change his mind again. We all know Sasuke can be manipulated easily. So when that happens, the final battle between Naruto and Sasuke can happen and then we will see what happens. Even Itachi himself said Naruto is the only one who truly understands Sasuke... so what the f*ck is Kishimoto doing right now? I hope this is a big, fat TROLL chapter. Else this great manga, will have a bad ending. Sadly enough.
