You´re just exaggerating. Itachi´s been given a lot of attention, but that´s normal for characters once in a while, or several times but that´s to be expected. It doesn´t seem at all like it´s all about him, but he´s a huge part of Sasuke's character development so of course he´ll get some attention when it´s about Sasuke choosing his own path.
