TOBIRAMA's DEATH [Spoiler Alert]

I'm pretty sure some people discussed about this already but I haven't seen it but...

I think the 2nd Hokage was killed by Madara, not some fodder army trying to protect Hiruzen and the kids back then. As you saw from the recent chapter, he stated "Madara... This time I'll defeat you."

I mean, you can assume he said that because throughout the Uchiha vs. Senju War, it was an endless battle and Madara was never defeated (until Hashirama "killed" Madara).But you can see that phrase from a different perspective and MAYBE, Madara was the one that defeated the 2nd Hokage.

This is just my opinion and I want to hear what you guys think.

i dont think so. Tobirama would have sensed madara but instead it was a bunch of high level ninjas. This was AFTER hashirama fought madara and "won". If he was fighting madara, a gigantic commotion would have occurred since madara tends to reshape the terrain when he fights and someone would have found out and told the village that madara is still around.

To others, great way to see it and expanded this discussion. I will come up with more points to back my statements up

(1) We all know the 2nd Hokage is a great sensor, and he sensed those elite shinobis and willing to sacrifice himself for the kids.

Now we can all agree that the 2nd Hokage is pretty powerful, even if we... let's say assume he's half as powerful as Hashirama (and that's pretty conservative). That meant the battle between him and those ninjas must have last long. Madara could've have entered the battle because maybe those elite ninjas were controlled or ordered by Madara (since Madara was known to manipulate powerful Kages and others).

(2) Going off with the first point, maybe it wasn't Madara directly killing Tobirama. He could've controlled the Mizukage, and I can't remember who else he controlled, but it can be a possible reason Tobirama died. I doubt Kishi would have let Tobirama's death be a stupid death without creating some drama. Madara did have a motive to kill Tobirama (as we all saw the negative vibes between them).

I think he was saying "This time I will get you" because Hashirama stopped him from killing Madara, when Tobirama had his Katana at Madara's chest. I think he got killed by a group of Elite Nin, Gin and Kin, and Kakazu. Kakazu stated "Kinkaku transformed? I wonder if Gin died." (Something along those lines.) That must mean Kakazu must have seen Kin transform before in a fight when Gin died. What if Tobirama killed Ginkaku, and Kakazu saw Kinkaku transform?

Tobirama could have died by Madara.

Possibly, but remeber Tobirama died during war. Why would Madara be at a war zone at that time? I think he just meant it like after all the fighting between clans, he will put an end to it.

check your argumentation bro. If he was killed by Madara, how will he think that he can defeat Madara after so many years? You can see nothing adds up in your post. For Tobirama to be certain that he will defeat Madara, they have to be nearly equal, or he has to believe he is stronger than Madara.
