lamest chapter so far in respect to character development. Sasuke's flip flopping attitude, Karien's forgiveness, if this is the end of evil Sasuke, Kishi can go suck a nut. I would be fine with Sasuke turning good again if he'd had kept with his attitude on not killing people, but he straight murdered many samurai. And Karien's forgiveness better be a russ, because thats just craping on girls even more in this manga.

What made this chapter great, was the epic hokages getting ready for battle but thats it everything else lame....

Sasuke needs to do something heroic to make up for himself being a villian for most of the series. He has three ways to make up for it:

1. playing a key role in destroying the Juubi
2. saving Naruto in a big way
3. sacrificing himself

Does anyone else see a possible future for the Kagami/Shisui line? Everyone thought he was a fodder character before obito was revealed, but now we see him again. It's not enough of a line to require kishi to write a mention about him. I foresee more about them both later on.

man, i know that eveyrone has their opinion and so on.
but i think that you are missing the whole point of this chapter. This chapter marked sasuke's most important decision, probably the climax of the whole war arc. This will be the way that the war will be won by the alliance. I can't see how this was not enough of a character development. Even Orochimaru has developed in character in this few previous chapters. We finally have some comedy back, with Suigetsu taking the lead and so on with karin. Remember that sasuke is a traumatized person, and Karin has somehow figured that out. She accepting the "sorry" was just the comedic approach added by Kishi in order to make the funny tone of the series come back.

To conclude, i respect your opinion, BUT ur opinion makes me think that you r not emphasising the series and its message while considering the chapter. That people have to finally find a way to finally understand each other and work towards a peaceful and unifying goal. And it seems like that moment is finally coming in this manga, and most of the characters are joining for this common goal.

Anyways, nothing personal.

I'm glad Sasuke is going to stop being such a douche. It's about frickin' time! If he would have just listen and leaned on Naruto sooner....
