I just got a sweet little bonus from my boss since I'm finishing my medical practice at the end of the year and I really need to buy a new laptop.

I currently have an Acer Aspire 5750G and I'm really happy with it but I need something a little more powerful and convenient. Here are my choices so far:

HP Envy 13-2113TU - Intel core I5
4GB Ram
500GB HDD
13.3"
$978

Macbook Pro - Dual Core Intel I5
4GB Ram
500GB HDD
13"
$1346

Acer V5-571P - Intel Core I5
8GB Ram
500GB HDD
15.6"
$678

I'm leaning more towards the Acer since it's cheaper, larger screen, had an Acer before and they're reliable and more convenient for me but do you have any other suggestions? I want to have a little spare money left so I'll tell you how much he gave me:

$2000

All of the systems are roughly the same except for acer v5 it has 8gb ram while the mac has dual core intel I5, but anyways the MacBook Pro looks decent but I'd suggest u buy the acer v5 it's cheap and powerful

Two threads in half an hour! You're on a roll!

They're both pretty similar, Macs are just Facebook machines, so you can rule that out. Also you say you want a powerful laptop, but give us the screen dimensions and hardrive space? Logic Lol
Also why did you even tell us the bonus you got? Nobody cares XD it's just you showing off thinking you'll get some attention. Well congrats I guess because you got it, but you look like an arrogant, cocky amateur :D

Yeah I was leaning towards the Acer, I'm still thinking though :(

I currently own an Acer and I'm quite satisfied with it, I've had a HP as well but I prefer Acer.

I mostly use it for studying, fruityloops, reading & movies. The occasional game as well :)

Yes I am cocky and arrogant :p

I just like giving detail and I didn't want to write a random price range. I was really excited at the time, so... sue me lol

Glad you admit it. Though you didn't address any of my other points. Have fun buying a laptop when you know nothing about specs ^^

I hate shopping for laptops :T_T:

Oh well... I'm ruling out the Macbook for sure so I'm stuck with the Acer and a new Dell choice I have.

I want something that can run a lot of my programs that my current laptop has a hard time running but the size of the screen is a big factor.

I admit it, nothing wrong with being cocky and arrogant. Went through a few years broke and now that I graduated from Uni and about to finish my med practice I brag about it every now and then.
