I never realized how much kishi used DB and DBZ content. was bored and re-watching parts of the series. There are the obvious things like son goku the ape who is the 4 tails, which was goku's favorite dragonball because of his grandfather. But i didn't know that Kinkaku and Ginkaku were in the original Dragon ball series and they possessed a man eating gourd. i also find it funny that in Dragonball goku would gain huge amounts of power when he got his tail back

Unless Naruto characters start blowing up planets and gain power levels over 9000 then the similarities arn't too much. Besides Son Gokū is based off Sun Wukong, a monkey king in Japanese mythology. Son Gokū is even referred to as the Bi'enō (Handsome Monkey King), (not sure if I spelt it right). Most of these creatures are simply derived from Japanese mythology (eg. Nekomata, Tanuki, Kitsune e.t.c.
