[Discussion] Franky much closer to monster trio than people think?

Obviously Zoro and Luffy have demonstrated great fire power on their own(Zoro cuting thru galleon ships, thru irons like it's fruit, destroying towers in one strike, etc while Luffy almost destroyed a Ship almost as large as Fishmen's island), so it's more than likely that they still have some edge in terms of fire power over Franky, but can we say that Franky has more fire power than Sanji?

Not even mentioning the fact that so far, Franky has really shown impressive feats. If i remember correctly:

- He captured Caribou(a logia user with over 300millions berry) who he even said wasn't a threat for him
- Defeating Doflamingo underlings without problems

So do you think Franky is smh much near the monster trio than people think? I know he doesn't have haki, but like i've demonstrated haki isn't everything. Even someone without haki can have more fire power than someone with Haki(Franky-Sanji example is a proof of it)

I think that is why Oda is letting him swan off with the trio, although they are separated he is close to where Lucy is so he will be close to some crazy action. Franky in my opinion is just after the trio if he isn't making them a foursome already.

I would agree that they are pretty close in power but idk if they would be weaker than the PXs

A weaker PX? I doubt it. I think he is above any PX right now. Sanji destroyed PX neck without problems, yet he was incapable to destroy a wall, Franky destroyed with his laser. So Franky should be able to destroy PX with ease

Iirc Nami called them the monster trio or something along those lines before, idr when this was though. I think Luffy Zoro Sanji will always be the monster trio in the crew.
I think Franky is 4th strongest in the crew, but he's sadly couple leagues below them. :\
He's definitely above Pacifista's now I think.

I think the trio will always be at the top but I wouldn't mind other members being as strong as some of the trio.

Nami is the one who started with that monster trio thing. Even Caribou called them Monster trio when he was captured. So it's a surname given to them in this manga

The only reason Sanji did shit against the door is because the door absorbed (physical attacks) that's why Franky used a laser (rockets wouldn't do anything either).

As for M3 level. I don'think so. Sanji has yet to show us a 1/4 of his all-out strength. And Franky has basically shown us 4/5 of what he's capable of and that puts him at 4th. And I don't think that the M3 will ever change because Pre-TS they were leaps and bounds ahead of the rest and if Franky could catch up to Sanji than it would mean Sanji didn't attain that much more.

Um, would it help if I described Whitebeard's quakes as blunt force? A quake is hard to concentrate in one area because the resulting kinetic energy from a quake spreads outwards. Same with Sanji's kick. Franky's Radical Beam is a laser, a concentrated attack that focuses kinetic energy onto one single spot with the added component of heat.

This is during Thriller Bark. Nami, Chopper, and Ussop are hidden in Perona's stuffed bear. When Perona mentions the three are detained, she can't believe someone captured thst Monster Trio.




OT: I think Sanji's own quote comes into play here...I do what you can't do, and you do what I can't do. I mean honestly someone trying to kick down iron steel is rediculous. On top of that, he didn't even use Diablo Jambel....

It is also key to note he didn't fight Caribou, but trapped him where the latter was hiding...had he chosen to jump out and fight as opposed to just going back in his barrel (retarded move), the situation may have changed (still I'd say most of the straw hats could take Caribou.

In regards to the Pacifistas....I would say the only people possibly weaker than one are Nami, Chopper, or Ussop...but they can most likely defeat one (monster point, strong electricity, variation of explosive pop greens).

I would say the Monster Trio are still far above Franky IMO. I'd also say he's probably just under Robin, but once again that's my opinion.


In the end it comes down to circumstance and opponent. In some scenarios, Franky outclasses most people (as you showed with the Radical Beam). Pending the environment, Franky can withstand circumstances others csn not such as Punk Hazard's Smile. At the same time, Franky would struggle against speed based opponents due to his position as a heavy weapons styled fighter. During the fight with Buffalo and Baby 5 he was basically only hit by Baby 5 due to his lack of mobility/ Speed...though he managed to take the hit (leaving the two exposed) where he proceeded to thrash them because they were in the right position.

Sorry but i hardly see what is ridiculous in trying to kick iron steel when we see that pre-time skip Luffy was already able to damage steel and current Luffy destroys it with ease with just his head and on the other side we have Zoro who cut it as if they are simple fruit with a basic attack
