Anonymous Hacks North Korea's Twitter

So the hacktivist group Anonymous trolled North Korea's twitter account today posting mocking pictures of Kim Jong Un as opposed to what is usually on the account: pictures praising him :|

Good job Anonymous , way to keep the tension of NK's government high.



On a side note, how do you guys feel about Anonymous? Do you view them in a positive manner as a group that promotes freedom, or do you see them as a counterproductive group due to their methods of hacking?

What I think about Anonymous? They believe themselves to be non-ordinary; to be something God like.. They're just criminals.

However, they're also some of the smartest criminals to date. They haven't been caught yet.. It's like a game of Death Note.

Well it depends really. True they do abuse the law which does make them a criminal organization, but the organization as a whole is hard to label. They've done some noble stuff as well as some questionable. Kind of like Robin Hood. I think they are just well received due to the age and trend of today's generation.

I don't know man, I found their hacking a US government site and getting key information from it quite impressive. US government had to to increase their cyber security employees from 400 to over 4000 because of this incident.

Anonymous is something of a loose cannon.

They are prone to the whims and over-reactions, such as their involvement in the occupy wall street movements that I interpret to largely be an affront to free market dynamics and play to socialist mantra.

That said - occasionally that cannon is pointed in the right direction (not that I really feel the cannon needs to be taken away from them).

And in this case, it's pointed in the right direction, and the result is quite entertaining.

They are criminals. Though they do some good stuff, if they wont hesitate, to continue to break the law. BAsically they are arrogant nerd jerks(im sure irl, they would be so annoying and you couldnt stand to be around them)

However, i do find some of what they do to be hilarious. This was a great touch, though, it may not be the right time to do it.

Crazy kim, will likely use this to fuel the fire of the war he is seeking.

They are just a group that does whatever sounds fun or has enough support. Sometimes they do good sometimes it is bad. I personally enjoy their actions as they are always amusing.
