There have been much speculation regarding the conception of the Rikudou Sennin's sons and why they are near opposites; Uchiha Clan Ancestor symbolifying Yin Chakra while the Senju Clan Ancestor symbolifys Yang Chakra. To solve this difference people have theorized that it is because Rikudou Sennin used Creation of All Things (COTA) to produce his sons however this is incorrect and I will explain why.
This chapter is the main source of proof to why people believe that Rikudou Sennin used COTA to make his sons but when we analyze the COTA to a greater extent we see why this is an impossible task.
COTA is the use of Ying and Yang Chakra to produce a living thing, after breathing life into his creation. He must administer imagination through the Ying Chakra and produce a physical form of the imagery he produced. Without imagination (Ying) there could be no creation; without the physical form (Yang) there could be no creation. This is why the Bjuu contain both Ying and Yang Chakra - the COTA needs the use of Ying and Yang Chakra to be successful and be concepted.
The Uchiha Clan Ancestor inherited the Spritual Power and Powerful Chakra; The Senju Clan Ancestor inherited the Life Force and Physical Energy. In other words, Uchiha = Ying , Senju = Yang.
However the creation cannot be made without the use of both, Ying and Yang Chakra so this is why Rikudou Sennin could not have used the COTA to spilt himself into the two sons. You need an equal quantity of both Ying and Yang to produce it, so the theory that states that he used more Ying than Yang or whatnot is also wrong.
This is why we know that Rikudou Sennin did NOT use the Creation of All Things jutsu to create his sons
